Mac filter cleaning

how often do i have to clean the filter element? and with what will i clean it??

Are you talking about the air cleaner/filter? Im assuming they sell a cleaning/re-oiling kit like K&N does. Im sure you can even use the K&N kit if you wanted to.

yes, the air filter . can i use the K&N cleaning and re-oiling kit????
and if yes or NO, when will i HAVE to GET to cleaning it. Its about one month old now

Go ahead, clean it. Then your car will run like crap because your MAF is contaminated with the oil from the filter.

Here are the instructions to clean the MAF, do it every month for six months after your re-oil the MAC:

I am switching back to a Motorcraft paper filter for this exact reason.

so can i just remove the MAC filter element and , blow some air on it then dip it in water and let it sit and then dry it , and re-instal it. will that be efficient too, instead of oiling it and blah blah !?? can I just do that

Since you put yours on last month I would not even bother cleaning it till the end of next summer.

Be careful when you oil the filter. You don't want to go overboard with the stuff. I have a K&N in my car and haven't had a problem.
