Mac gt40p header clearance problem

i just bought a set of p shorty headers from Mac. i put on the driverside header tonite and it fits great but it is touching the steering shaft. doesn't seem like alot but is hitting. anyone have this problem? going to look at it tomorrow again to see what i have to do to it. surely shouldn't have to dent the header. maybe something in the steering shaft? motor mount?

would a bad motor mount cause the motor to lean down on the one side?

This is pretty common, P heads or not. I had to dint/ding my header in and grind some off my steering shaft to clear it.
