Well i just finnished installing some mac long tubes for my 2000 GT i think the worst part was putting the springs back in but anyway my question is how does any exhuast leak sound like? is it real distinked sounding ? i painted my header with some hi-temp paint ( dyno tested stuff) cause i bought the cheaper HTS coated ones and i was wondering if the paint might be whats smokeing or if i might have an exhaust leak.. also it only smokes after like 2 - 5 min after the car has been running. if anyone has any answers i would be very thanksful thanks.

for a week or two, you will be burning the crap out of the inside of the headers. that's most likely why you are getting that

Exhaust leak is a ticking noise. I have one right now and its really easy to hear when under acceleration... can't really hear it otherwise

How long did it take you to install? Did you use any instructions?

it wasnt to bad just get the front end up pretty high and be ready to take your time tightening the headers. thanks for the replys i hope its just the paint and what not burning up cause an exhaust leak would be instant i would think cant get over how loud the oen headers are ... gonna be quiet the drive to get my x-pipe refitted up to them
