Anyways here are the two links.

When adding shipping the mac is $30.00 more. Doesn't look like either one has a smog pump tube. THe mac looks like it has hangers the upr doesn't. UPR claims there X design is has better flow over 300 rpms where others stop flowing at 3000 and above. I know Mac is reputable as well. Ordering tonight, any suggestions???

UPR X pipe!! I have had the MAC o/r H and it fit like crap, I went to the UPR X and it fit perfect. You dont need the hangers. If you want to keep the smog pump you can have an exhaust shop weld it in for you. Thats what I did.

so with the UPR I assume that you have to have your own hangers welded on, correct? I'm just wondering because all exhaust shops around here wont have anything to do with a car without cats...

Edit: Oh and I forgot to mention, (may be a dumb question) but are all of the mid pipes sold in seperate pieces? I am just wondering because I dont have a welder and like I said before exhaust shops dont wont touch it.

The UPR dpesn't have the middle hangers but they hold up nice and tight with out them, no issues at all.

The UPR pipes are ready to bolt together and install right out of the box, no welding required. A Dr.Gas, Kooks and others require some welding...

:nice:

Alright thanks alot. Looks like I know what my next purchase is.

One of my friends has a UPR Off-Road X w/ the American Thunder Cat-Back along w/ BBk Long-Tubes, car sounds sick and loud. However, even though I like the UPR, I would still prefer the MAC Off-Road H because thats what I am getting and I like its sound better than UPR. My set-up is going to be MAC Off-Road H-Pipe, Flowmaster Outlaw Series Mufflers (NO CHAMBERS), and possibly either BBK Longtubes,or MAC Long or Equals, but next summer when I drop a 418 in my stang, going to use Hooker Super Competition Chrome Headers.

Just a word of advice with the Hookers.... FIRS the chrome will peel and rust in no time. The fit is not all that great, I just installed a 2" ceramic set of a customers 408 in an 86 Fox, they are very tight and hang very low you are better off with a good header like a Kooks, or a custom. Worth every penny. I'll take some pics for you if your interested I hope to finish the car this week.

The UPR X comes in 2 peices, if I remeber right. One of the pieces that runs from the passenger headder to the X pipe is seperate and connects the same as the muffler, Ball / Socket type connection.

I see where you are coming from. It would be cool if you posted some pictures of the Kooks or the Hookers, I understand what you are saying, but if you have a picture of how low the Hookers hang, that'd be cool. Thanx man. Later, Jeff.
