anybody have the mac 2 1/2 h pipe for their 99-03 GT? how does it sound? i dont want to pay 350 for the mrt stainless because i might end up doing long tube headers down the road. so for 120 what do u guys think? is it worth it or are they garbage, by the way i have a 02 5 spd gt with 2 chamber flowmasters

i have prochamber & like it quite well. all mac stuff is pretty crappy, to me anyway, esp. compared to steeda, magnaflow, etc. but i've heard the o/r h & its def. louder than the prochamber. different sound than the prochamber for sure.

did u hear it with flowmasters? did it sound deeper then the prochamber? my cuz has a prochamber and flows on his car and its not the sound im looking for

no, i think he still had stock exhaust on @ the time.

I had the MAC o/r h with 2chamber flow weld-ins on my 01 GT. Man, that was an awesome sound. Car alarms were never the same around my car.

can u compare it to the sound of a prochamber with flows or totally different?

The prochamber will make more power, but won't be as loud. For $225, you can get a new prochamber. Just don't expect it to stay pretty. The HTS coating is crap. PM if you have anymore questions. I just took my prochamber off for an X pipe.

I have the MAC o/r h and 40 series flows and I love it....... dont regret it ..go for it

i have the MAC o/r h pipe with the MAC catback, and man it sounds awsome. i say go for the h pipe man

I have the Mac O/R H-pipe with 40 series flows. I love the sound. But Macs quality is questionable. My pipe had to be heated and bent in order to seal corectly on the driverside were it bolts to the manifold. It still has a really slight leak. But you cant feel it. Great sound and price but poor fit. If I could do it over I think I would of got a more expensive one or just another brand just to save myself the headaches of the poor fit.
