Just installed my MAC white face gauges today. And for being rather cheap
gauges they look pretty damn good. install was a snap. reinstalling the needles was a bit tricky but fortunatly i used the scan tool at work and was able to position them perfectly. And as for the lighting issue i heard alot of people complain about, all i noticed was that they seemed to be not as bright as the stock gauges but seemed to light pretty evenly without any dark spots. I think they seem to be good gauges for they the cost of them.
can't complain. a little info for anyone thinking of getting mac white face gauges.

I have the Mac whitefaced gauges also and I think they
look awesome too!
The install was very easy but,the only part you really have
to be carefull is reinstalling the needles.

yeah they are easy to put back on but there are no guide pins to realighn
the needles so if you install them wrong your gauges will be off.

Installing the needles sounds easy but, seeing is
beliving. If you are not carefull you can brake the needle. So,if you
install whiteface gauges be carefull with the needles because they
can brake very easy.

Here's a photo of my MAC's
They are great in the day, night they light up fine, but they are kind of hard to read at dusk or dawn.
I like them

I think they look great! Nice job. What did you need to do to install them? Can you outline the steps you took? Do the gauge faces come with instructions?

1. remove headlight knob ( remove it by using a small pocket screwdriver to gently pull back on the metal tab inside the slot towards you on the knob, and pull the knob itself firmly towards yourself as you do that)
2.remove the two torx screws that retain the gauge bezel inplace and gently pull at the bottom then at the top and she comes right out( helps to adjust the tilt all the way down)
3.Now remove the four torx screws that hold down the gauge cluster and then unplug the two connectors in the back and remove.
4.Then remove the torx screws that hold the clear gauge cluster cover on, and remove ( being careful not to slide it around when all the screws are out so you dont damage the needles.
5. with the tool supplied by MAC in their gauge kit gently pry the needles up on both sides not to damage them.(WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! Note positions of needles before removal. Do to the fact that there are no guide pins to realighn needles when reinstalled!!!!!!!!!!!!)
6. Now your ready to remove the stock guage overlay. once removed clean the area good making sure all glue is removed from stock gauges so that you will have no lighting issues when new gauge overlay is installed.
7.once the surface is clean now install your new MAC gauge overlay. Firmly press everywhere assuring that it sticks properly.
8. Now for the tricky part. installing needles back to proper alighnment.
with the notes you should have taken before removal of needles , will help you install your needles back properly to there position. but i will tell you how i personaly reinstalled my needles if it helps. With my key on engine cold i install my coolant needle where it would be when my engine is dead cold which is directly on C. Now with my notes i reinstalled my fuel needle to where it was at the time of my install. Now start your engine. place the oil and battery needle directly in the middle of the gauge which is where they always are considering they never move when the car is running.
now i reinstalled my tach needle with the engine running to where it sits normaly at idle. now for the needle thats makes a big difference MPH. Before i removed my needle for the tach and MPH i drove my car and found that 4th gear at 1000RPM the car was at 25MPH. so to install my MPH needle i drove my car in 4th gear at 1000 rpm. and placed the mph needle at 25 mph. Now since i work at A Ford Dealership i was able to double check my guages for accuracy with are scan tool. And found that all my gauges were dead on.
9. now once you feel comfortable that the needles are installed properly and accurate. remove the cluster and reinstall the clear gauge cover and reverse the disassembly to complete your installation.

Just the numbers illuminate if thats what you are asking. not the entire gauge.

I'm I the only one that thinks MAC are junk if you want to maintain the factory lighting. I've had em so I'm speaking from experience. Sure they look great in the day but at night that's where the problem is. First off the mileage window is not tinted green like the factory it's tinted blue so the number will light up blue - didn't like that. Second the lighting isn't green light factory it's more like a soft blue. Some of you from what it seems dont mind but to me there not producing what their advertising to product - to maintain factory lighting. Sorry for the rant here but having to rip them out cause of this and not being able to get the needles back to the factory setting really chapped my ass!!!!
