Karkraft has used 03 Mach 1 engines for an automatic for sale ($2690)

What i'd like to know is...What ALL do i need to be able to drop this motor into my 98 gt?

I already have an automatic, though i'll need another one correct?

Could i get all of the possible information that you know? I'm interested in this

Would you happen to know his username?

What kind of hood would i have to get? Due to the shaker having to hang out, i understand i'll have to get another.

The Mach1 hood from the 03s wouldn't fit my car i don't believe

If you skip the shaker(like I did) you won't need a new hood. It's basiclly the same as doing a cobra motor swap. You won't need a new transmission, the mach's have the same one as you. Check out www.cobrapoweredgt.com, that should get you running straight.

Do you have any pictures of your setup?

What does it look like without the shaker?

And you are positive that my auto will work for this?

Thanks for the info

I see i'm not the only one wanting to do this swap

now we just have to wait for the pics

I would like to have the shaker, though wouldn't want to cut and such on a hood

I would also like to know what the install would be on a 96-98 gt mustang. I was also thinking of doing a head swap on my 98gt but if the mach1 used engine is that cheap ill just go with that. btw can i have the website you found it in? i saw the shaker scoop system for the 96-98's on the cdc website but ofcourse they want too much for it. i guess you pay for quality and they have great support from what i hear so maybe ill just save up for both. any other input please let me know. im me pm me email me any info would be appreciate it. know if anyone has pictures of the 98's with the shaker?

Http://KarKraft.com is the site which is selling the motor..

I haven't really looked into this too much.. just kinda relied on this post for information..

I'd like to receive more information on this.

Could i see the picture of the Shaker on a 96/98?

I could do without the Shaker, as long as i'm pushing over 280RWHP to the wheels

man this would be a sweet swap. i have a 97 cougar xr7. i was planning to swap to a 02' 4.6L instead of just a pi swap. but now i am leaning towards the mach. is the swap from a 2V to a 4V hard?

The http://cobrapoweredgt.com is a pretty good tech (it's swapping in a 4v Cobra engine, not a mach, though still gives a good idea)

It doesn't look too difficult, but i'd like to get more info on this

OK I can't post pics because I am at my limit for storage on this server, and for some odd reason I can't get them to delete. I can email them if anybody wants them, just give me email addresses.

yes, I know for a fact that the mach 1 motor will work with a 96-98 auto. I actaully have the 5 spd motor(forged crank). An adapter plate was used to connect it to my auto. The swap was done for me at Modular Madness Motorsports in Mooresville, NC. Total cost was $5300 including a custom dyno tune. My motor was a brand new crate motor - not used.

How do you skip the shaker hood? This swap sounds very interesting!

The shaker simply bolts onto the intake....unbolt it and you have an 01 cobra intake. It's simple.
