How many watts do the mach 460 stereos put out and is it possible to hook a sub and an amp to it?

They don't put out enough to power a sub, that's for sure. I had a bandpass box installed in my 03 GT and my Mach 460 had to be wired to my subwoofers amp. They took my two factory amps out. My were located in the front of the trunk under the rear glass and behind the seats. The 2 amps have a weird wiring harness that can't be wired to anything else. If I were you I would just buy a new stereo reciever, a powerful amp, and a pair of 12's and get rid of the Mach. I couldn't even wire my new system into my 6 disc stereo because I never had the harness necessary. They're good stereos, but Ford obviously doesn't want them tampered with .

obviouly ford doesnt want people tampering with it, my 95 cobra was broken into and the amps and my aftermarket deck was stolen, i had to have the whole car rewired cuz nothing was compatible. but im happy with my aftermarket stereo system.

If you want a sick system then get rid of your mach and plan on spending a couple grand on good aftermarket components. If you want an okay system then keep your Mach and forget about adding subs.

I just recently hooked up my amp & 12 to the mach....sounds pretty good, even though I will be losing the entire mach system and going all aftermarket eventually!

How the hell did you get a stable 4 ohm load to run to the amp coming out of the 8 ohm Mach system? Not to mention the issue of not having RCAs to get a quality signal to the amps.
