Made up my mind.. Going 363 CI DART

Don't be jealous lol.. Its not all its cracked up to be..

I'm a Union Boilermaker for the time being.. I travel around the country working (generally) on Coal Fired Boilers, (power generating stations)..

When I work, I usually work 7/10's for 6-12 weeks... then have time off..

They try to work on them when power consumption is at a low, so spring and fall, and keep them running in summer/winter..

So, that leaves us with summers and the middle of winter off...

It pays great. Both my cars are paid for..I have lots of very nice toys. As hard as it has been, I have been smart enough to sink very little of my money into my car... I love working on it, but there are bigger priorities in life..

Which is where building this motor kind of sucks...

I HATE traveling for work.. It is SO hard to have a serious relationship and I can't stand missing out on so much when I'm gone...

So.... My goals this year are to pay cash for a newer F-350 and enclosed car hauler, along with building up some savings so I can start my own Solar Energy company where I live, saying goodbye to traveling....

With that being said, only my Spare money goes into my car...

But now that both cars are paid for, and I have basically run out of things to buy around the house, I should be able to get this motor running within about a year, if I work hard enough...

oh yeah, I'm not going back to work for about 7 more weeks :D

ahhhh i see. Good stuff. I got a job offer to do a similar type of job after i graduated last summer....but with a fiance and a baby on the way at the time i had to pass it up.

Good luck man, we'll have to talk more about this solar power company....need a mechanical engineer over that way to help get it running ? :p

I am three semesters short of just that :D

I started what I'm doing now to pay for the rest of my school, and decided there were more profitable things for me to do than finish my M.E. degree.

I have a brand new, genuine ford 96 cobra bumper in my spare parts room..

I still need to pick up an oem replacement for the front.. then I can paint both bumpers and the sideskirts....:nice:

Whats the difference between the one you got on the front now and a OEM replacement?

And i thought you mentioned making a custom rear bumper to make the sides go down lower to match the skirts/front.

nothing whatsoever.. I just want one that doesn't have any license plate holes on it.. mine has a few spidercracks in it too that drive me crazy.. nothing really noticeable, but might as well replace it...

the rear just says "COBRA" in large letters, instead of mustang in smaller letters.. 95 cobras had a v6 rear bumper on them.. that is all..

I will fiberglass the "aeroshield" at some point.. I really should get on that I guess.. The weather this weekend isn't supposed to be that nice, so maybe I'll start it..

I've been busy Hiking, biking, fishing and camping :nice:
