I have come to the conclusion that an o/r h-pipe and magnapacks sound like crap. However, when I swapped my h pipe for my catted x pipe, the magnapacks sound AWESOME. The only down fall is that i cant really hear my cams very well anymore. (and i have to fix my leaky x-pipe)
I have Magnapacks, a catted X, and cams. I'll be posting plenty of videos when I finally get the car started (which will be either tomorrow or Sunday).
Surprised to hear this because I absolutely LOVE mine. I've gone through several exhaust setups and I really dig this setup. I have received many compliments as well. I still think the slp lm2 with an offload H was the best I ever heard, but I'm not changing what I've got as I'm very happy with it, including the quality the the hardware (magnaflow catted x and magnapack catback.)
I am debating on going magnapacks with catted X. I removed my muffler for now to give it some sound. But i think maganpacks will sound better. A video would be kool, that would help make my mind up for sure.
If you haven't visited the Magnaflow site and listened to the magnapack exhaust take off clip for the 4.6 do it now... jesus christ that may be one of the best sounding mustang's I've ever heard
mine has a tad bit different sound to it. i think that car was on stock manifolds and stock h-pipe. the longtubes with a high flow catted x-pipe has a smoother exhaust note to it and more tone. bbk's x-pipe is a stamped chamber and that creates a different sound with the packs. i know, i need to make a video. maybe one day this week after work.
