So ever since I have had my Mustang it has always leaked transmission fluid but minorly. Just this past weekend after installing a new starter I noticed that there was alot of fluid underneath the car. So I added about 1 1/2 bottles of fluid. I drive around for 5 min and come back and notice that after about 10 minutes parked I have leaked out quite abit of fluid. So I park the car. Next day I had to add 2 bottles of fluid. I drive 5 minutes and smoke starts coming out from under the car. I pull in the drive way and look under and I see globs of fluid dripping onto the passernger header.

The problem is I cant see where its coming out from and pretty much everything is drenched in fluid.

So my question is that apart from the rubber portion of the fluid lines, where else could all this fluid be coming out from?

BTW its a C4.

Does the car leak heavily when standing still (and not started) when you add fluid or only when it's running?

If it is not leaking when standing not started, then you need to wash the whole thing and dry it off. With the car in the air, make sure the tranny is full is full of fluid and then start it. Watch for were the fluid is running from. If it doesn't leak then, make sure the rear wheels are fully off the ground and put the car into gear. If you are loosing as much as you say, it will be very easy to find.

Possible ideas: Filler tube O'ring where it meets the tranny could be trashed or the tube pulled out of the case. The pan gasket could leak, as can the coolant lines. If the rear seal was leaking, the fluid would pretty much stay toward the rear. The front pump seal could be bad--most fluid would be toward the front of the tranny around the bell housing.
