Hey guys I have had my sct tuner for a while on my 07 mustang and have changed the tunes twice before. I went to load up an 87 octane tune yesterday like normal. I plugged it in and the unit did not power up so I plugged it in again and nothing happened again. I started up the car and my entire dash has no power. I can't see rpms, temp, speed, blinker signals, nothing. My A/C does not blow cold air just regular air and it blew out my traction control panel but the A/C panel lights up and the radio still works fine. The car runs fine, all the lights work, I just have no power to the dash, a/c, and traction control panel. Took it to a local shop they checked all the fuses under the hood and in the passenger side panel and they were all fine. Does anyone know what happened? Thanks in advance.

They didn't check all of the fuses. You blew a fuse in the passenger side compartment. I had that happen several times. For a while, it was doing it almost every time. Doesn't do it any more. Most likely the fuse didn't blow out all the way, so they couldn't tell it was blown. Sorry, i'm not home so I can't tell you which one off hand, but that's what it is.

Thank you for the information but I have tested all the fuses down there. My cluster fuse is normal, it is not broken at all. I believe it is number 16 in the owners manual. When I took the passenger side relay out down there there were two very small burn marks on two of the prongs but it didn't appear to be causing a problem. Do you have any more ideas or more specifics about what the problem was? My entire cluster is out on the dash including the ODB port, my a/c compressor will not turn on, and traction control is out.

I took the car into the dealer to get it looked at because all of the fuses seemed fine. Turns out that the reason I couldn't find the fuse was because it wasn't there at all. I had taken it to a small shop owned by a friend of mine and one of his techs checked both fuse boxes. The tech told me he had replaced a fuse but apparently he never did because he forgot to put a new fuse in. Anyways my service writer was cool about it and warrantied it for me and they did some other needed work to the car so it all worked out in the end. The number 8 fuse in the passenger side panel was the one that was missing and I assume the one that blew. Thanks for the help.
