first i added a c&l plenum and never idled right because on the install i broke one of the bolts holding that brown pipe to the plenum (located exactly the oposite side of the plenum the tb goes on) so i decided to removed it bought a bit that backs out tried that moved a little then the stupid bit broke so bolts still stuck. now when i installed it to get my car running again i went ahead and did it again i broke the bolt holding the plenum down right next to the same spot but now into the plastic intake. man im not even going to bother how much do you think a shop will charge to removed them and install new ones? and then today i was burning a cd and wam it breaks the cd breaks inside and then the pc Amd chip broke out on top of it. man today was not my day!

yea not a bad idea it is wed too. how much do you think it will cost for a shop to pull those 2 bolts out? do they charge by the bolt or how long it takes them to do it?

BAD idea. You'll probably get mugged or something when you buy the ticket and find out later that it was the winning ticket.

by the way... where are you getting this lottery ticket??

I have a question. even before those 2 bolts broke my idle was always at 1600 it ran fine before when i had the stock intake and tb. what can i do to test why my idle is crap. ford said i needed to update my computer because its from 1999 is this true? could the computer cause my idle to stay at 1600? it only does this when im moving it sits at 1100 when at a light. also my tps is set to .98 should i mess with it or leave it cause it took forever to just get .98 also when i unplug the power to the iac the car runs like it used to. i think its an intake leak but could it actually be something else? i dont think an intake leak would make it go to 1600 could it? i would think like 1200 for just intake it has to be something more. i need it fixed cause its killing my gas milage.

i took some pics of the bolts that broke. yes thats tape i did that so dirt doesnt get in as much. is that the correct c&l intake for a 99-01? i have a 2000 if i had the wrong one could it cause this? how do i know if its the right one? i used the stock tubes.

Looks like you've inherited my bad habit of tightening the $hit out of bolts. I've snapped plenty - fortunately nothing critical. Torque wrench is your next purchase!
