Yeah - we have to assume you've wired it correctly. Get it bass ackwards and all bets are off. Glad you got it figured out!

By the way - that's how things are supposed to work. Knowing it's supposed to be a puller, and knowing it was blowing air the wrong should have been what told you (sounds like it did) that you had it wired incorrectly.

"Things we take for granted"

Unrelated to the fan -- I just found and obtained a very rare (never seen another one) Volvo R Sport steering wheel for my car. It's in pretty good shape, and has the hub and all mounting hardware. It's a 4 spoke, big fat leather rim wheel probably made by someone like Momo for Volvo dealers to install as an option. I take my turbo-wheel off, and mount this one. Horn works - I think woo-hoo I got a steal on this (it was free)!!! I drive the car, and the left turn signal won't cancel. The right one will, but the left one won't. Get to investigating - the numbnuts who installed it on the other car had mounted the wheel to the hub in the wrong way - the turn signal cancel device wasn't positioned properly with the turn signal. Probably for 20 years that car was driving around having to manually cancel the lever for right hand turns, and no one ever did anything about it. Things we take for granted. I simply re-positioned the wheel on the hub - remounted the hub properly and it works like a champ.

By the way - the ONLY way to control that big MkViii is with one of these ---- www.dccontrol.com. Really a great device - I have one on mine; controls to within 3F degrees of the set point, and minimizes current draw and wear and tear on the battery, alternator and fan. HIGHLY recommended. Don't even think about relays and switches with the big MkViii.

BTW, if you werent so helpful, i coulda' scored a cheap Mk 8 fan from 1fast89 (cheap cuz it flowed the wrong way). (J/K, 1Fast - you knew it was not right and asked - good man).
