i have a 95 gt and im trying to put a 87mm MAF on it. the only ones i can find for it are for the pre-93 fox bodys. Will a pre-93 style work on a 94+ mustang. thanx for your help

94-95's are a flanged style meter pre 94 isnt flanged. You sound like your mind is made up on the 87mm. Thats just huge though you'll benefit just the same from an 80.

Save the extra cash for another mod, the 87 is overkill unless you plan on some hellacious mods. The Z06 might need the big sensor, but most HCI w/ power adder cars don't even run anything that big. My .02 cents

it diesnt have ti be an 87 i just want something in the 80's for a 95 does any one know of someone selling these for my car. im not ubilding anything hellatios but i dont want any restriction at 8000 rpm

Unless it is calbtd. for your ecu (not the same as fox mass air cars BTW) the fox elec. will not work (or should not), it may run but not very well. The meters have a air flow & voltage table so the computer knows how much air goes into it at a cert. voltage. If there is more air, due to a larger meter, the voltage will be off. Unless its some kind of cal. meter like Pro-M, or you have some way to tune the ecu, Tweecer,Eec Tuner,PMS, ect. you will have issues outside of the fact the meter is too large.

Funny thing is that pushrod 5.0 motors dont use as large a meter as the 4.6 that are friggn' huge.

8000rpm in a 5.0  Oh well. I do run a Mass Air Meter from a fox body i purchased off someone on this site. Works wonders.
