Yes it will run, very rough but you will be able to get home.

like i cant drive my car like daily without it? cuz i cant find the wire that goes the the mafs and i dont have the sensor. what sould i do??

Is your car still speed density? SD cars (86-88) came from the factory without a MAF. The Only Mass Air cars prior to 89 were the California 88 model & add on conversions.

Buy the harness and a stock meter.

It will run terrible without the meter. Just start it and listen. Started mine once without it plugged in by accident and it was terrible.

my car is an 88 but idk if its sd. and if i take the smog pump and all that off can i still pass emissions? im in connecticut if that matters.

Your car has speed density (SD) unless someone converted it, but if you cant find any of the wires or meter, than noone converted it - and you dont have one, your car should run fine without it because the computer is set up for speed density - what are you actually trying to ask anyway

mine ran for about 10 seconds with out it when the intake tube fell off.

Most '88 cars were speed density, check the air intake tube after the filter, if there is a meter there then yes it's been converted to MAF or it was an original '88 california car.
