Ok so I have completed my swap to granada discs in the front and I will be running explorer discs in the rear. I need to know what dual MC that I should get. I don't want to have to change any lengths of the rods and all that. I would like a direct bolt-in and I wan't something cheap. What can you guys recommned to me? Would a granada dual MC from like autozone work??

I just replaced the MC when I put in my disc brakes, but my MC came with the kit. I think my MC is from a 96-98 Cobra, but I'm not sure.
I ended up getting an adjustable pushrod because I couldn't get my original one out of my old MC w/o destroying it.

how much money do u think I am looking at spending?? Im on a super tight budget right now so cheaper is better. I know quality is good too but I'm not too worried as eventually I will buy a nice one when I get around to it

When I did my swap back in the 80's I used a M/C for a 71 Full size Ford (non power discs brakes). Bolt in swap and had a larger bore ( 1 1/16 vs the 67's 7/8) Check your local parts house to see if they're still available. I think Monk302 is going with 70's Granada M/C on his swap.

When I did my Granada swap I bought an adjustable pushrod from Mustangs Plus for $40, plus $8 shipping and handling. If I had it to do again I would take more time and do the following.

1. Buy the MC from Autozone or where ever.
2. Install it in the car with the pushrod that comes with it.
3. Measure the location of the end of the pushrod on the brake pedal.
4. Remove the MC. DON'T DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL HERE!
5. Measure the location of the end of the pushrod on the brake pedal fully depressed.

If the travel is too much for the MC, you need a shorter pushrod. Make sure you check the travel before depressing the brake pedal with the MC installed. If the travel is too much, you will damage your brand new MC!!

I have front discs and rear drums, and I'm using a '77 Monarch MC. You will want a MC from a car that had front and rear discs, since the discs need more volume of brake fluid than drums.

Also, when you're bench bleeding the MC before the final install, the bench bleed should only take 5 minutes or so. I bought 2 defective MCs before I finally got one that worked. Since it was my first time doing this conversion, I wasted hours figuring out that it was bad MCs, not something I was doing wrong.
