A couple weeks ago I postd aboutmy car pinging. I replaced my FIPK with the stock air intake and that seemed to stop the pinging I thought I heard when I would pull away or shift slowly from one gear to the next. But, I am still hearing something when I get on it (around 5000-5500 rpm) I think what I am hearing is something in the exhaust system, possibly the cats. Is it possible the sound I am hearing is the cats? The sound I am hearing is sort of like sand or gravel in a paper cup, something blunt not pingy. It does not fluctuate with rpm either, meaning it does not get more drastic as the rpms increase.
