if im doing a 92 four cylender swap to a 5.0 do do i still need the mcu module

No, that's the ccrm. Either way none of the electronics from the four Banger will be used except for the body and dash harness. Save the old stuff till the swap is done In case you need to borrow a connector and afterwards toss it in the garbage.
