measuring valve sizes

i bought some heads with 2.02 1.60 valves.. how do you measure that??? how do they get them numbers for that size?? also is that a good size??

That's the diameter of the valve head. Most aftermarket heads come in 1.90/1.60, 1.94/1.54 or 2.02/1.60.

They are measured in inches. That 2.02 is a little over 2". Those are quite bit and will flow alot if your cam and intake and fuel system are up to the task. You need a matched set-up, throwing just a set of heads on it wont help much IMO.
