Hi all,

I drive the Mustangs Big Brother... Marauder.

As you may know, it has the 4.6 L 4V engine. I am in the process of replacing the silly OEM oil gauge with a Stewart & Warner Mechanical.

Any insight form those who have crossed this bridge would be greatly appreciated.

Any problems encountered?

Will the idiot light on the dash stay lit if I totally remove the sending unit?

Seems other Marauder owners fear having a live oil line entering the cabin.

I think it is primarily a safety concern. You wouldnt want a line filled with oil or gasoline anywhere near you in the cabin should you get into an accident. Fire is a huge risk, I believe that is why any manufacturer will tell you never to mount a mechanical guage inside the cabin.

On a side note, i go to school in buffalo, i believe ive seen your car. Is dragcity also your liscence plate? Im pretty sure i saw a dar red marauder that had a liscence plate something like that in the amherst area.
