mechanical oil pressure guage

Maybe a stupid question, but where would i tap into the block of my 302 to install a mechanical oil pressure guage? The same place where the stock electric one uses, and where would that be exactly

Yep by the old electric place. Its up about an inch and to the left an inch of the oil filter.

I used a tee fitting so I could run both gages. Didn't want inoperative gages in my dash cluster.

I've also always done the same thing, cept on a small block it's a little tougher to do. The 5.0 I have now, required using a 2" long 3/8 pipe to extend out from the block ( I used a brass one) then a 45 degree elbow, then a "street tee" to gain clearance to install the factory sensor and the mech oil line fitting.

Yeah im lazy, so im just going to hook up the mechanical guage. It doesn't bother me that the guage in the dash won't work.
