Hey guys. I dont have a mustang but I do have a 93' 2.3 ranger. I was wondering if anyone has installed a aftermarket temp guage on their 2.3. I cant find an empty plug in the block to put it in. Anyone have any advice? Thanks, Kamran

Since the factory gauges are crap, I put my sender right in the side of the block where factory hole is.
Some people don't like the factory gauges unhooked but if they don't mean anything, why not?

I use mechanical oil and water temp

Is the stock sensor on the driver side low on the block? Our engines might have some small differences but should be similar. Did it make your check engine light go on? thanks,Kamran

leave the stock one hooked up. how else is the computer going to know when the motor warms up? it'll get stuck in "warm up loop" with a high RPM idle... You can get a T fitting onto the heater core feed hose and do it that way...

The EEC does not get any reading from the gauge sensor!

The EEC water temp sensor is in the intake manifold.
