How did you mount the EDIS wheel?
Did you keep a distributor installed to turn the oil pump or did you use a cam synchronizer?

To mount the wheel, I took the balancer into a shop and had them machine it down the thickness of my wheel. I mounted the wheel by sandwiching it between the ballancer and the crank pully.
I modified a stock TFI distributor to drive the oil pump only. Basically I cut the top off the dist and welded a blockoff plate on top.
With a 302 based block, you could use the OEM stuff from a ford explorer. I didn't have that option with a 351W.

If you want to be able to cut the spark for any reason(like rev limiting, two-step, etc), the EDIS module won't allow it because it has a "limp home" mode that drops timing back to base if it loses the ECU signal. The way around that is to use four ignition coil drivers instead and have the MS control each coil "pair" directly.
