Ok, is there a *POINT* or *TOPIC* to this thread? Or is it just mindless chit-chat, in a effort to drive up post counts?????

I would suggest AIM, or PM.

I got my finger on the trigger that closes this thread, just waiting to see it you can find a topic, or have something to say besides idle chit-chat.

Hawk...I thought you said you were cool with it. Why the change? Also we're all still pumped from the awesome Hooters cruise, and that's what we're talking about. Sorry, we'll try to cut it back for you. We'll think up some ideas to change the way we operate this thread...

ok, in light of Hawk1340's last post in the Melbourne thread, i am proposing this! keep in mind this is only to keep Hawk from closing our thread! the Melbourne thread will be strictly for Hooters information, and AutoX information ONLY!!! in an effort to keep us all involved on a daily basis, we will just have to start another thread and try and keep the "Idle Chit-Chat" to a minimum! i know this is kind of a harsh way to deal with it, but im sure that you dont want this thread closed either! if this doesnt sound like something that is feasable to you then lets try this...when you are responding to more the one person, try and do it all in one post! doing mulitple quotes in one post isnt that hard, and will also keep hawk happy! and one other thing to try and do is, try and put as many thoughts into one post! This thread has been going since November 1st of last year and i would like to keep it going till something drastic happens! I can honestly say that i have made a whole new group of friends on here, since all of mine moved away for college! Please try and follow these rules as close as possible so we all dont get banned!

Ok guys. Let me break this "mindless chit-chat" with a bit of technical definations and decipher my post for the uninitiated.

Huffer - Slang term for a supercharger
Huffing - Slang term for what a "huffer" does
P1-SCH - Procharger's entry level supercharger. It's identical to the P-600 except it's oiling system is self contained (i.e., the SC designation). The 600 requires an oil feed and return line to be run to the charger and to the oil pan. The self contained unit has it's own oil supply. You change it every time you change your motor oil. As for the "H" designation, I believe that is the polished finish, but I'm not sure.
8lbs - Superchargers are, in essence, a pump. He is running 8 lbs of pressure at the discharge of the supercharger. More pressure = more airflow = more power.
18lbs - I plan on running a D1-SC. The D1 is Procharger's next level of supercharger and is also has a self contained oiling system. It will be pulley'd to provide 18lbs of pressure at the discharge side. Different pulley sizes affect the speed at which the supercharger operates. This affects the amount of pressure it develops.
Fresh 306 - The block will be a 306 (an over-bored 5.0 or 302). Since it will have low miles, it will still be fairly new, or "fresh."

And just one other thought, since this is a car site and we all are involved in our cars, whenever we need help or need to know how to do something, post it and we'll wait for baglock or mfpmax to try and help us! so add General car info/help to the list of things discussed in here! just try and keep it simple, and nothing STUPID!!!!!

Bag...you seriously need to clean out at least your sent PMs, since they count against you, too. This goes for everyone, too. All our PM boxes need to be kinda empty, since we'll be using it more for communication that before.

All, I just want to explain a couple of things.

I LOVE to have FUN, and this place is all about FUN so lets enjoy ourselves. But do it in moderation.

Multiple post to answer 1 question, or a post of a "smilie" is out of control.

Most of you know me from other Forums here, and I tease and poke just as you are doing here, but we know the limits and do not push the envolope. You should not either.

I DO NOT want to close "The greatest ever thread on SN" but will if you all cannot follow the rules as posted everwhere, adn you have all read them.

Have Fun, but keep it under control and all will be fine. am not here to stop this or step on anyones toes, just to keep peace and make sure that the rules are followed.

Alright, Hawk, we'll be making some changes for you. It should help slow down and keep this thread under control, as well as allow us to police ourselves. I believe we will soon be creating daily "throw away" threads. They'll be short, and we'll kill them off after a 24 hour period and begin another one. This one will be kept specifically for racing, hooters, and general car info. Throw Aways will deal with everything else. We'll also post other threads to alert the general S.E. of upcomming cruises, races, etc. Hopefully this will be satisfactory to all.

EDIT:
But we do need some time to get this completely organized and planned, so bear with us. :cool:

that all sounds fair enough!! fun is a major key to why i have been on the here every single day since last may! on a daily basis, i spend on average 9+ hours on here! so other then working, this is what i do between races and Hooters cruises! and knowing that i have started the "Greatest ever thread on SN" is something really cool and may never be touched again! i would like to keep this the greatest, and longest thread!

clean out at least your sent PMs, since they count against you, too. All our PM boxes need to be kinda empty, since we'll be using it more for communication then before.

help me!!

guys...i need some help.

tonight, i was driving upto the local pool hall after picking up a friend of mine from his house. i was coming down 17/92...and caught a red light. there was a bike next to me with a guy and a girl on it, and they were lookin over all hard and stuff. the light turned green...and he took off on his loud ass 400cc dragster bike (sarcasm implied)...but he let off at around the speed limit. i caught up to him and got on it alittle bit just to play around. well, needless to say i wasnt running my radar detector...and an undercover cop in a black impala caught me on radar. i pulled up to the next redlight...and noticed the black car behind me (i didnt see him before this). i looked back and saw his strobes on the inside of his windshield, and knew i was goin to get raped. light turned green, and he turned on his lights. turns out i was doing 76 in a 45 (oops, still didnt seem like i was doing that fast). after him searching my entire car for god knows what, he gives me a $180 ticket. he told me he gave me a $100 break or somethin, but i dont give a ****...i still dont have $180 to throw down the drain.

here lies my problem. he gave me the three options (they give em to everbody) to either pay the ticket and get the points on my license, take it to court, or goto the traffic school thing and get no points. now, the thing is i have already taken the traffic school thing once (your only allowed to take it once a year) and im pretty sure it hasnt been a year since then yet. so i was wondering if i take it to court do you think they'll let me take the traffic school thing anyway? cause for 1, i cant afford for my insurance to go up any higher, and 2...i wont be able to drive for 12 months (except for business purposes only). i have to drive, theres no way around that, and i cant pay higher insurance (there already killin me as it is). do you think if i take it to court i would be able to take the traffic school thing again, even though its been under a year? any ideas/suggestions would be great.:( :mad:

Boy, that sucks Droptop :(. I would say that the judge will probably not give you traffic school. Either you fight it and win and don't pay the fine, or fight it and lose and pay the fine. I've never heard of anyone getting traffic school from the judge, even if they hadn't taken it previously.

However, your insurance may not go up because of this ticket. I would call them and ask (hypothetically, of course) what effect the ticket would make on your payments. Best of luck...

well theres not too much i can fight. i was speeding, but i guess i could say that its my dads car (cause its insured under his name) and that im not used to driving it, or some bs like that. im not worried about the fine, i can handle that...its my insurance, and them suspending my license.:(

Well, you're right, by the sound of it, there isn't much you can do to fight it. Really, you gotta hope that the cop just doesnt' show up, that way, it'll be thrown out and you won't have to pay anything. Good luch, though. Speeding tickets suck.

Baglock...I posted links on the last page that prove the existance of the Saleen XP8 Exlporer. I think it's been discontinued, so I can't find specs or pics, but it does exist. :cool: :D ;) :p

There was a Saleen Explorer at Fun Ford Weekend. Would've took pictures but well...it was an Explorer :D
