I don't think untouchables Z could make it out there w/o breaking down. It is a half hour drive, after all. :jester:

Thats why I'm driving my own car...just in case...wait...that can't be right...me following in case someone else's car breaks down? I'm confused:confused:

BTW: Does MAC have a website?

A crossover tube is the H or X pipe. It's the assembly that contains the tube that connects both exhaust pipes so the the pressure is equalized over the left and right sides. It's also the assembly that contains the catalytic converters (cats). When I say a crossover tube, I mean the X or H pipe. I may say crossover tube just so I'm not specifically saying an X or an H pipe.

An X pipe is a crossover tube but a crossover tube is not necessarily an X pipe. Got it?

As for A MAC website ... http://www.macperformance.com/ :nice:

Yeah, I got it. Thanks for the info and website. :nice:

You know, I'm starting to lean toward X-pipes. What kind of low-end TQ can I expect to loose if I go with those? Also, I was thinking about maybe going with dumps. They are cheaper, it seems like I might get some more power out of them. The only thing is that I don't want the two hole in the bumper, and I don't want a new bumper. Hmmm...I think karkraft.com sells some inserts for them...maybe I'll check those.

IMO, you won't feel any loss in torque. A dyno might see it, but I doubt that the SOTP meter would pick it up. And as far as the inserts, as long as they're painted to match, I think they'll look pretty good :nice:.

Do you know Adam? He goes up to Bithlo fairly often. He's got a Yellow 2000 (or maybe an 01) with a 2K hood on it. He runs 13's in it. Anyways, he has an o/r X and dumps and the f'er is f'in LOUD!!!

No, never met him, but I've heard of him, and seen his car. It's nice. Hmm... this is a tough decision. I want something that will get some good attention (as if yellow isn't enough) but I've heard they drone a lot. Might have to get some sound deadening in or something. I am starting to think about some catted X's with dumps. That might be good. Or it'll be catted H's with magnapack catback.

baglock1, what do you work as to mess up your hand so bad?

um. btw. where was the conversation at?

No, no...it was droptop that hurt his hand. He burned it, and it's his shifting hand. Hence why he wasn't at Bithlo the other night.

Just so no confusion pops up, dumps are part of the catback. Dumps just exit the exhaust right after the muffler instead of routing it over the rear axle and out the rear of the car.

Yep. It seems like a pretty cool system. I was kinda looking at side exhaust a few days ago, but since they are expensive and cause a loss in power, I stopped looking at them. This seems kinda like a good compromise. Loud, distict sound, good power, and different. And most important...inexpensive. :D :nice:
