well, i think i found my first mod!!! who wants to play the guessing game???

the winner might get a prize!!

umm ... k&n filter ... or i know you installed a turbo in your truck, have dual exaust, with an intercooler ... :nice:

 oh i know, i know, you raised your truck a couple feet, and now have big 33's on it

 or wait, you lowerd it, so it's like a milimeter off the ground, threw 2 15's in the back, and have neon light underneath, and you painted it green. :jester:

 so do i win the prize?

I think I'd pay to see that...

Listen as the 33 inch tires scrap the bed and inner fenders. And as the neons get destroyed while mudding.

the S-10 = Dynomax Turbo Muffler

The 2.3 = Spark Plugs
well considering i said first mod, and the 2.3 already has a K&N, your still wrong!

small casualties to having such a riced out truck ....

ok ... my next guess ...

umm ... so many things u could do to a truck. Does it have to do with the engine, or to the rest of the truck? I need some clues here ;)

i guess you could say engine, but its not quite in/on the engine! so i guess it could work for the rest of the truck too, but more engine then the rest!

hmm ... exaust, and tranny would be one of the things ... so, either new exaust, or something like a new shift kit.

well, i guess since jason has already said exhaust, you win! thats right people, i think i found an aftermarket shifter for my truck!!! i found it in the Jeg's catalog. its almost the same as one made for the mustang, its from B&M. i just have to make sure i have the transmission that it says it works with! renee, you can pick up your prize at hooters on the 22nd! but im not saying what it is till then! cus i dont know what it is yet!:nice:

Okay y'all, after talking to Hawk, I'm starting to think H's again. Arg...when will it stop? I can't decide on this stupid exhaust stuff. What kind of power gains might i expect with catted H's and stock cat back, does anyone know?

My way of going about it would be for sound...because bout any one I get would be better than stock. You may notice a bit of gain from the change in Cat-Back, but when you go the whole 9 yards(Headers, Cats/Off Road pipe, the rest), thats when you start picking up power. But headers are gonna run you what? Less than $300? Wait, do they even have headers for the modular motor yet?

That's it, i think I'm just going to keep saving for the SVO. This exhaust stuff is way too complicated right now, and I want that SVO. I'll get the new exhaust after the SVO. I think. Unless I change my mind again in 5 mins. :(

It isn't that complicated. There's just a few things that need to be considered. I'm sorry if I was making it sound overly complicated, but it really isn't that bad. If you do decide to go exhaust, call me and I'll explain all you'll ever need to know.

mfpmax-- Yes, 4.6 headers are plentiful.

bad89coupe -- The mod motors have both upstream and downstream O2's (in front of and after the cats).

the only reason you knew it was a shifter, is becuase thats all i *****ed about when i got the truck! here is the best pic i could get with my digi!

hey, your blowing my cover damnit. im all knowing jason, you didnt tell me squat :nice:  :D

where exactly is your shifter located? i always thought that truck shifters were really long and the base was on the floor?? maybe im retarted, im not a big truck buff...

and erich, about your exhaust. x-pipes will give you more power on the low and high ends of the rpm scale (about 7hp more down low than an h, and about 10hp on the top)...where as an h-pipe will give you more power in the middle (about 6hp over the x). i have a dyno sheet to prove some of that, and the other i read in an MM&FF issue.
as to sound, the h-pipe will give you that classic, low rumble sound...and the x-pipe will have a more metallic...agressive sound to it...kinda like the sound of a nascar ;) hope this helps alittle:nice: :jester:

NO! I'm the all knowing Jason! :jester:

Yeah, the shifter is on the floor right below the center dash area in front of a small console with 2 drink holders. At least on my friends Sonoma

Is there an AutoX this Saturday?? I saw on the calander that it is Sat and Sun. I can Only make the Sat one. We are having what was supposed to be a small RX-7 picnic down here and its turned into a festival. 40+ RX-7's fron all over the state. Including a 10 Sec Turbo RX-7 and a Sebring Race track RX-7 too.

I want to try to sneek up on Saturday if there is indeed a AutoX.

Confirm...Deny???

Thanks.

Also the SCCA is in Dire need of officers.

I am thinking of helping out. It would be real cool if some of you guys could help too. You seem to share my attitude towards this AutoX and we all agree it needs some help. I would like to see some workshops on Saturdays and AutoX's on Sundays. I am sure there are others in this besides me that want to become better drivers not just cone plows.

I would love to hear your input on this.
