Melbourne area stangs

Dude man, just chill. We all know each other in here, we hang out at Hooters, AutoX's, etc. We're all good friends. If he want's to put a tat on his body, that's his choice. I think it's pretty cool, not something that I'd do myself, but he know's I was joking around with him earlier, and we're still gonna be cool with each other. So just don't worry about it, k man?

And that is fine. The ignorance of others' is not my concern. Like previously stated, this was for me, not anybody else.

Yes, I put it in a thread entitled "Melbourne area stangs." This thread has become an unofficial BB for about 6-7 regulars, all of whom are friends and meet outside cyberspace on regular occasions. Had I intended the mustang community as a whole to learn of my tat, I would have posted it in the general discussion areas of all the mustang forums.

And where, in any of my statements, have I shown anything other than this belief? Sharing it with a few friends does not make me a hypocrite on any level.

Hmmm, putting in the center of my back guarantees my wife is going to see it but not too many other people. I'm not sure what type of social gatherings you partake in, but taking my shirt off around a bunch of men is not exactly common to me.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but if you're just here to troll, kindly take it elsewhere. If you actually are in the Melbourne area, then I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and welcome you to the Melbourne thread. Perhaps we all just got off on the wrong foot. I admit I was a bit heated after reading Erich's post and yours just fed the flame. You and I, like many others on the forums, have differing opinions on this matter. Perhaps if I had clarified that I wasn't looking for input on my tat, but rather just intended to inform, this could have been averted.

In case you didn't know, we've recently started a chapter of the Modern Mustangs of North America in the area. If you're interested in local cruises, get-togethers, and what-not, I encourage you to join.

EDIT: Nevermind. I see that you're in Long Island.

Did everyone who didnt go to the autoX on Sunday know that ERIC's GT beat baglocks GTS for the first time ever....

...o wait that was because i was driving it.:D sorry bag, didnt mean to take points away from the championship hunt. that trophy thing sucked, I'll have to come back down in AUG to pick up 2 trophys.

to bags credit i did put my v700's on erics car prior to running it.

eric- change that brake fluid. black is your interior color not your brake fluid.

Did any of you hear what Mr. Martin car club (driving the Z06) did to me on Sunday?? I had layed down a time 1 sec faster than him in the 1st heat. In the second heat he went before me and had me by 0.70 seconds. As I was getting ready to pull up to the staging line he stuck his head in my passanger window and started to talk all kinds of smack to me about how I had better pick up the pace and put down a better time............yes he got into my head and I screwed up te run.then it rained and I ran the rest of my runs on wet pavement.

I actually found this funny after the fact. have only attended 5 events so far he is far from a novice yet I scare him and his $60k car. I am so flattered. I cannot wait until I have a dozen or so events behind me.

Baglock - your tatoo is your business no one tells you what kind of clothes to wear - no difference.

I was going to park where you were but no one was there Saturday. I just went to the exact spot I was in in Saturday on Sunday. Nothing personal really!!! Next event I will park with you I promise.

Just bustin your chops, man. :D We'll make sure to introduce everyone next time. :nice:

I could have walked over I don't know why I didn't. Only thing I can think of is that I was so busy with the car and when I did have a moment I collapsed in a chair for what seems like seconds just to get up again.

I had the mechanic with me that did my suspension mods and dialing in. He wanted to see a AutoX first hand. He had never been to one before. He found it frustrating because you could not set up the car correctly. There was too much time between runs the tires would get too cold. He has a ton of road racing experiance and is trying to get me to lease out his race car in the future after I have my liscense.

I will park with you all next time.

Keep me posted on the Martin Races too- I sort of have a bone to pick there. I would like to go and get some "practice" :D

well guys sorry i didnt make it out there tonight...wasnt feeling too good earlier so i didnt get to check out my rocker arms. Tomorrow I'm goin to pull off my valve covers and have a look...so next time you guys go out to the track let me know.

Dan, that sounds like pretty damn good times for your truck! I think you could probably get that down to a low 16 sec. run if you got those 60'fts down. best i ran wednesday on my non-sticking Nitto's was 14.006 at 104.6   time for the slicks.:nice: :D

Cool man. You need to share the wealth with that tarp of yours. :D

Bag, since you're a Ranger man, what do you think of the Thunderbolt? I can't find any real info on it, but I've seen one being raffled off on Base or something. Haven't seen one up close, but it looks pretty good.

It's just a 2wd XLT with some bolt-ons. Basically, it's got some body mods, a sportier suspension, and a little more hp.

tax free shopping only works if the stores you shop at aren't evil and don't jack up the prices...back in my day...:D...we noticed that trend happen...they take off the taxes, but hick up the prices to justify the lack of tax, but the fact that its "Tax Free", makes you think you're getting a deal thus having tons of people flock to the store like birds feeding...more so than the normal Back to School rush.

Which explains why I still wear cloths from my freshman year of HS...well that and I'm cheap :)

Does that extra 7 cents on the dollar mean that much to you. The only time I really get pissed off about sales tax is when I am spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on car parts. Thats when the sales tax really starts to get my attention.
