So yea, I got a new watch, $100 to spend at Best Buy ( gift card ) gift card for AE, clothes.. my dad got me the Harry Potter book set. Last time I checked , I wasn't 10. Thanks Dad!

My better half got me cologne, aftershave, RCI race pants (to go with my RCI jacket) a Mustang calandar and a nice long sleeve shirt. Her brother gave me a German classic SportsCar book, pretty neat!

I played Santa to myself and got me a set of HAL/QA-1 struts with coil overs for the LX and a set of Wilwood drag front brakes. All total those parts saved me 42# of weight. Gotta love those 0% credit card balance transfers!

My wife got me 3 Beavis and Butt-head DVDs. My son got me a 1/64th Adkins Collectibles '70 Boss 429 Mustang! I also got 2 100th Anniversary Ford shirts, 1 with Mustangs and 1 with Trucks, some cash and a some other shirts.

Damn, sounds like some of you guys made out pretty well. I got some Levis, a couple shirts, a new chess set, the CDC stars and stripes pony (which looks damn good on a white car ), a gift card to sears (hello new scroll saw ), and some other stuff. My parents sent me some new cordless power tools for my B-day/X-mas gift.

Present to myself will come after I get reimbursed for that TDY to Alaska. CC plates, coilovers, 96+ spindles, poly motor mounts, and I'll probably engineer the rag-joint out of the steering shaft. All this will finally allow me to install the K-member and A-arms (finally). I'll probably throw some LCA's on the list too. I've also had to convince myself that I don't need a complete frame kit and settle for some normal SFC's. Those will probably get ordered too.

Oh hey everyone, I ordered the YOUR HONDA SUCKS T's today, should be done done by the first week in January. I can bring them to the next auto-x in Palm Bay.

Dan, I ordered you a black one and a blue one, they couldn't do gray without having to clean the machine and changing the ink colors from white to black.

Hey baglock1 and ericmess_! This is Christian (in case you've forgotten)... guy with the flaming yellow Integra TypeR... Sorry I haven't been able to make it down to any auotX's lately but I've been busy buying a house and getting engaged now I finally have a garage to play with the car in

I just spoke with David and we're planning on hitting the 2 day BCC autoX in Feb... probably gonna start running the Type R in STX so I don't have to lug tires around with me all the time. BTW, there is a track day at Roebling Road in January for anyone interested in trying the go-fast crack pipe... try it once and you'll be hooked for life!

When the page loaded, I saw that Glenn had quoted Xian. I remembered that was your login Christian and at first I was thinking he had dug up a post from waaay back.

Good to hear from ya. Congrats on the engagement, but does this mean that the habit is going to be downplayed for awhile?
Hopefully, I'll have the front of the car finished by Feb and I can get out there to run. If it isn't, maybe I'll take the Ranger out there and run in H Stock.

yep, I'm back from the dead had to get some stuff taken care of... really wanted a house and thought I was going to have to sell the Type R and buy an older honda hatchcrap to afford it but have dodged that bullet for the time being and get to have both

the fiance thing is new but really, really nice... luckily she understands my addiction and knows that it won't get any better... only worse and she's ok with it. She's all for me getting a weekend beater/track car in the near future. At least that way I won't have to worry about wadding the ITR up out on the race track

I noticed in one of your posts that you've gotten some new suspension goodies for the Stang... cool! You have plenty of time to get at least the springs, cc plates, and motor mounts on there. The spindles will be a little work unless you have easy access to a hydraulic press and I'm not exactly sure what you're doing with the steering...? Then again I'm definitely not a pro mechanic on american iron FWIW, if you don't have the Stang together in time, you could always try out some foreign machinery... I wouldn't mind having a co-driver if you promise to keep it below 8500rpms

anyway... I'm leaving work early today (in about 5 minutes) but I'll check back on monday! later!

Well the rear springs I'm still thinking on. I may end up cutting them just to up the rate until I get the cash for rear coilovers or I might go ahead and order some 250# rear springs and see what happens. Anyone still have their stock rear springs that I can experiment on?

I do have easy access to a press, but I don't need it as the spindle swap is fairly straight forward. 2 strut bolts, the tie-rod, and the ball joint nut and it's off. 94+ mustangs use a sealed bearing design, so I'm not worried about pressing in new bearing races.

And the steering... All I meant was I was going to somehow cut the stock, flimsy rag-joint out and replace it with a solid universal joint. This costs about $70 plus my time whereas a Flaming River solid steering shaft runs $250+. Same result in the end only more money for other things... like that liquid rejuvinator often imbibed after the race .

The last time I had a motor above 8.5K had to have been the Yamaha FJ1200 I ran in the old race car. I had that one above 10K for the majority of the race though.

I appreciate the offer but I don't think it'll come to that. If it starts getting close, I'll just wait until after the Feb event to tear into it. Thanks though. If money wasn't so tight right now, I'd go up to RR just to get a couple ride-alongs with you guys.

Got to drive an '03 snake today. I saw him pull in and ran over to write him a car wash ticket. And he said "who here can drive a stick w/o frying the clutch?" And I was like "you see that GT right there? It's mine." So he told me I was the only one who could drive it.

I talked to him as he was leaving, the car has spent 70 days in the shop. It's had its tranny replaced once, rear end replaced twice, and something else replaced twice as well. But I was happy, none the less. :worship:
