Nice truck. You should have planned this and scammed all the parts Dan bought before selling his bowtie.

Got the new toys in. Car feels very stable now, both in launching and cornering. Very happy. Can't wait to order my next batch of toys, or the next AutoX.

I would imagine that since no one is wanting to trade, they're pretty happy with the Novi Eric. BTW, what jetskis?

Hey is tonight a Hooters night? Just wondering since my better half is in Munich until tomorrow afternoon I won't have any "honey do's" to take care of tonight.

Glenn, have you ever seen a T5 with a yellow 8-tooth speedometer drive gear? I thought they were supposed to be green, but when I opened my transmission it was yellow (7?). I checked the code on the tag and it's the factory original '92 transmission. Should I just assume it's 8-tooth? I'm trying to fix my speedometer after the gears.

my 93 WC-T5's speedo gear is yellow, and from what ive heard thats the factory color. some may have a black one to compensate for gears (4.10's, etc).

Seems to me that somewhere in 1990 Ford switched to a larger drive 8T gear. I don't remember what color it is, I usually just count the teeth on them. If you need to adjust for a 3.73 or a 4.10 gear don't just add the 23T driven gear, it doesn't hold up well. I would change out the drive gear for one that is smaller, then go with something less than the 23T driven gear for whatever ratio axle you have.

This is how I took care of the calibration problem on my Cobra when I was running a 3.73 gear. I switched to a 7T drive and a 21T driven gear. The stock drive gear with a 23T doesn't accurately calibrate a late model T5 for 3.73 or 4.10 gears anyway, so why bother.

You can also find a 6T drive gear, it came on some GM applications but will work in the Mustang as well. This will make it easier to do a correct speedo recal if your using deep gears.

Just found out today that I'm going to be moving to a new shop . I'll still be based out of the same building but will be doing EXTENSIVE traveling. I've been dreaming about this job ever since I started working in the career field. I am friggin stoked! Yeah! Sorry, had to say something. I am a happy, happy man right now.

I'd love to change the drive gear out, but I don't want to remove the transmission/tailshaft yet again.
