Melbourne area stangs

If anyone wants the full-size or cropped/resized pictures Brigitte and I took just PM me your email addy and I will send it to you. I have a few more non-Mustang pictures that weren't posted if anyone is interested. Eh, prolly not huh?

You guys got some great shots!!!

Sorry I had to cut out early, but I needed to get the tires with tread back on the car, so wife could run some errands....Not to mention I had a splitting headache.

Oh Eric Kebbel, did you remember to get the springs I left in front of your car?

Glenn or anyone else, did you get a pic of that Viper spinning out? If so, I'd like to see that.
Or a pic of that deTomaso Mangusta that was there for a bit?

Thanks,
Kevin

If I recall, it was you and Dan trying to do the catch up last Sunday. :D

And I'm not in the mod race (at least I'm trying not to be). I'm just trying to get some of the stuff I have sitting around in the shop installed finally. That K-member has been underneith my workbench since August or something.

ON EDIT:
I almost forgot Erich, you're FIPK is in. :nice:

Well, TJ's got another fat stack of my cash. Picked up the motor and tranny mounts today and ordered the MM CC plates and coilover kit.

So Baggie, you stepping out of ESP and jumping into SM?

If you wait another couple months I'll be in ESP with some fresh tires. I'd love to have some more good drivers to compete against. I might even be competitive with some more seat time.:D

Actually, if the rule changes went through, I'm thinking about STX. If not, I'll be in Street Mod.

I would wait a little bit, but I've really been dying to get that K-member installed. The points race this year really doesn't mean too much to me as I'm wanting to get the car OT/HPDE prepped as soon as I can. Once all this is done, I'll pick up some rear springs just to get the height down and a rough tune in place. Then I'm backing off to pay some bills and save up for the brakes and new wheels.

Kevin - I appreciate you letting me have those springs, but after doing some measuring, I found out I'd have to cut so many coils to get to the rate I need, the fenders would be sitting on the tires. I'd almost have to cut the spring in half.

Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and get the rear coilovers pretty quick too... :nonono:

Well, if you need a hand with the K-member I've done them before. I also have an engine support fixture that makes it easy. The time to do it would be when you do the coil-overs to avoid having to reinstall the standard mounting springs. They can be fun, but aren't too bad if you've done them before.

If you want some higher rate rear lowering springs I have two different sets your welcome to look at and try out. I'm not sure of the rates, but the one set is pretty high rate. I took them out of the Cobra because I didn't like the ride and my Bilsteins had too much compression and not enough rebound for them.

D'oh! Yeah, we were trying to catch up in the real race. We don't have the years of experience you do, though. :hail2:

Thanks for the update on the FIPK. I also got my Mach 1 chin spoiler and grille delete today, too. Now just gotta wait another week and a half for my DS and I'll be set for the next install. :D

I appreciate it Glenn, but I'm going to do it at the hobby shop on base out here. They've got an engine A-frame, lifts, and all the tools that I don't have. And this K-member has no provisions for the conventional springs. I have to use coilovers. But I'm waiting to find a set of 98 spindles too, just so I can install it all at the same time. :)

I might take you up on that. If I can, I'll take some measurements of them and calculate the rate. Or, if you know the make and model, I can get the rates from the manufacturer.

Dan: Your welcome, just sorry it didn't work out for you, unless you want some bling bling appeal.:stick: :D

I'm going to have to dig up some tires if I want to continue to AutoX....I looked at mine after Sunday, not pretty.:nonono: I'm in same boat as Glenn, 4yr old tires, mega miles on them and hard as a rock
