I just ordered those Kumho MX tires. I wish they came in 55 series instead of 50, because the small tires look pretty lame with my 4x4 stock Fox body suspension. I guess I don't mind it looking dorky if I get some cheap tires that work great!

To all you guys that have portable compressed air tanks for inflating tires: where did you get them and how much can you pump your tires up with a full charge? Can they be filled at any gas station with compressed air?

Guys, the BUCC region does 6 runs per event, and these should run abour 55-65 sec's. so if good long track time is what you want don't miss that STAUG event MAR 23.
We also have a Gainsville event april 6, GIR has the BEST track conditions for a autoX in the state(imho)

The tire question- the falkens run pretty well in the wet, its just when they get down on tread they will be a problem. The MX's are prolly the best bang/buck/wet traction tire out though. I'll stick with the falkens, i was faster at Roebling road(o/t) then most of the cars running race rubber.(but that might be the driver )

I got mine at Walmart for about $27 or so. You can pump your tires up from normal pressure to ~40-42psi no problem. Just make sure you have the tank up to full pressure (125psi) before you go to inflate your tires. I use the compressor I have at my home shop to fill my tank. A gas station (convenience store) one may not have enough pressure to fill it. You should also insure you get a one with enough capacity to hold a large volume of air. I think mine is either 7 or 8 gallon.

well guys, im back from the track, and i got what i wanted out of the car.....best time of the night went like this:

r/t - .864
60' - 2.224
330 - 6.366
1/8 - 9.678@74.77
1000 - 12.518
1/4 - 14.933@93.34

Previous best was 15.493@90.14

Im very please with what the car did tonight, now all i gotta work on is the 60 foots. i think there is a little more in the car, all i need is a little bit of traction help so i can come off the line a little harder

Dan, my car right after i bought it(stock) was running 9.1 to 9.3's in the 1/8th. just goes to show you the difference in 5spd vs slushbox. Get yourself a shiftkit for that auto.

I need to get down to GIR and update my drag times, i havnt drag raced in about 2 yrs.

bad day...

This was just a bad day all together.
I was at my friends house earlier. I usually park at the curb, about half the car on the grass, half the car on the street. ( it's a narrow street ) I'm in the living room chatting with my friends mom and he comes in and says " Hey Dave, someone hit your car. " My first reaction was " WHAT!! " Then I'm thinking " Oh my god, someone hit my car AGAIN. " I've been in 4 accidents since I've owned that car. I've had it about 2 years. 4 accidents I DID NOT cause, mind you. I've been rear ended twice, side swiped, and now backed into. Backed into by a little old lady who must be all of 4'10" tall and looked to be too old to be behind the wheel anyways. It looks like someone threw a 16 lb. bowling ball at it. Driver's side, just behind the door, but before the wheel well. Can my car get any POS-afied? Stupid ****ing dumb **** son of a ****ing ****. LEARN TO DRIVE. God damn ****ing retard.
You have to be a MORON to hit a parked car. Good god. ****in' A. :damnit: :damnit: :damnit: :damnit: :damnit:

Damn Black. You should have told me at hooters you was gonna go to the track.I would have went to.Even with my little bypass valve problem.Sometimes it over boosts then sometimes it works just plain fine.
Damn DG that sux @$$.My car has been by two car doors one on each side scoop. Then some drunk ******* some how backed into my front bumper puting some nice deep scratches into it.From where I was parked I have no clue how they did it when their is room to back up a F-350 crewcab long bed dually with out hitting anything.Well I got my tax refund so here comes my 2000 cobra R bumper and hood.Would rather get 3.73 gears but the front bumper is annoying me.

I'd make a Probe joke, but not even I'm THAT mean. It looks like she hit you doing like 30... Was it a massive Caddy or something? The plus side is if you're going to get in wrecks, might as well make sure they're not your fault.

Yea yea yea.. I've about heard them all. She backed into me with her green Neon. Her driveway is about 20 feet long, plus the street is a good 15 feet wide.. and my car was about 2 feet in the street. She's just a blind, stupid, old driver who has no business behind the wheel of a car. On top of that, she has to sit on a phone book to see over the steering wheel. I could use this lady for an arm rest.

No! No! No!
The no-fault law only relates to injuries from accidents in the state of FL.(sorry, I'm one of those jerky claim adjuster dudes)....
It only means that if you are injured in an accident & have insurance here you MUST use your own car ins first for med bills, and then if your benefits are exhausted you can get the at-fault person's bodily injury coverage to help pay med bills only!(unless you have a permanent injury, like a scar on your forehead, etc, then you get some pocket change....enough babbling....go get her ins card from her & file a claim against her insurance company! Ley me know if ya got any q's,
later!
