Well I finally ran my car for the first time at Bithlo. My best time was 14.80. I need to work on my reaction time. I guess that's not to bad for my first time.
The place was packed, I guess everybody is getting ready for the weekend.

joe, post the rest of the time slip so we can see how the rest of the run looked. oh and dont worry about your reaction time, it has no bearing on your ET, it only comes into play in bracket racing

I guess I could of prepared my car a little better. I had a full tank of gas. I noticed alot of people lowering their tire pressure. IS this a good idea? What do people lower it to?
i personally wouldnt lower the pressure on radials. it will more then likely hurt your time. i keep my at street pressure, about 32-34
I had my best results on my 95 with a stock setup by dropping the rear tire pressure to ~23psi. Lower than that and the center of the tread may lift and give you less traction. If you can work on your short time I see an easy .2 to .3 reduction in your ET. With practice I was able to run a 1.94 short time and managed a best ET of 13.64 on stock street rubber. If you can come up with a couple of spare wheels in 15x8 buy a pair of BFG 275-50 drag radials. They will knock several tenths off your ET with no other changes. Nice thing about the BFG's is that you can drive them back and forth to the strip.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, you will need a good set of LCA's to optimize your launch on DR's.
