Melbourne area stangs

I hate people.

The GTS is officially a statistic. It was broken into today. I haven't seen it yet (the wife had it today) but from the initial report over the phone, I'm anticipating $1300 in losses not including whatever damage may be done.

I'm going to clean the Glock and drive down to Ft. Pierce now.

Hope they get caught. :chair:

Nicked me for the stereo and CD's plus a bunch of little BS. Haven't seen the car yet so I don't know about exterior damage (she was dancing around that subject which is usually bad), but she said the console and center dash is toast. She said they unclipped it from the harness though, so it sounds like I won't have to replace the wiring.

Update:

The cops said mine was the first. They tried prying the driver's door open but couldn't (still jacked up the door) and so pulled the passenger side window out from the frame and stuck their little claw in and yanked the latch (weatherstrip damage).

They tried to steal it by busting the ignition. That failed but I'm still going to have to replace it as it isn't activating the switch gear properly. Next, they decided that they'd get the stereo by tearing the center dash area out (A/C control and vent area). That destoyed the dash trim as well as busted all the mounting ears off the dash itself (yes, the main dash structure needs to be replaced). The trim tabs at the forward edge of the center console are busted too.

They snagged the stereo (and even got the remote for it) and almost $1000 worth of CD's. I've got no idea on the damage cost yet as a body shop needs to look at the door and I need to find out what the dash is going to cost to replace (I'm guessing a leg and 3 fingers) and I figure the trim stuff will be about $250-$300.

They hit two other cars with "relative" care before they were seen. Then they started busting windows and grabbing whatever they could on the way back to their car. They assualted a woman, stole her purse, and then used her credit cards at the 7-11 for gas. Then they went to Home Depot, assaulted another woman, stole her purse, and dragged her 300 feet when she wouldn't let go. Then the cops think they hit the 95 and hauled ass.

I hate people.

Sorry for the loss Dan, I know that feeling of violation. That feeling is worse than the loss of the things stolen.

Yup. Stuff can be fixed/replaced. Those MFer's were chillin' in MY ****ING RIDE! That can't be wiped clean. I had a crap load of tools stole a few years ago ($4000+) and that wasn't nearly as bad because they only got into the bed of my truck.

dan i can offer a hand if you need as im 10 min from there place to store car i have good connections to b0ody shops here i n vero just athought can even have car towed if you didnt already

Thanks Eric, but it's still capable of being driven. It just pisses me off every time I see it. Depending on what the insurance says, I may take you up on some body shop recommendations. At this point, I'm thinking that I'll do it all myself and put the money saved on labor into the toy box.

Thanks for the consolation guys. I appreciate it. :)

Better yet, get an MP3 CD player for your new system and put 6+ regular cds on one cd.

Now, to lighten the mood a bit, here are some new pics I took.

Sorry to hear about that dan, too bad the cops didn't catch them. they probably would of let you get a couple shots in. This is the kind of stuff that makes you paranoid to leave your car anywhere. You put all this time and money into your car and there is no telling when some morons are going to come by and try to jack it up.:(
