well guys, my month just keeps getting better and better..... i got hit again while i was at work, and didnt know till i left to go home, and today me and TJ found a crack in my intake manifold. i need to win the lottery:shrug:

Damn man, hate to hear that. My truck got hit at work about a month ago and pushed down on the front bumper and scraped it up. i take it you've been hit before too???

Woaahh, I missed that post.... Damn dude... How the hell did you crack your intake manifold? I'm not even gonna ask!!

Is your insurance company going to give you anything for the hit and run? God I hope so for your sake...body work is expensive...I found that out last month. I braked. She didn't. I gotta admit though, it was funny as hell!

...so I entered the student art show today, at BCC.
The actual show for the public to see is on April 9th.
I just hope the 3 pieces I put in get chosen by the judges to be in the show. If they do, for $10 they will matte and frame my work, no matter the size, and that's a hella good deal. I forgot when the judging is. I chose to put in the self portrait I did, that I posted on here, and 2 other figure studies we were doing of our male model. Both of mine look like something Michaelangelo or Leonardo would have done.. kind of this Rennaissance type Greek God looking thing. Good stuff.
Just thought I'd mention it...:)

yeah, i was just hit 2 weeks ago. but this happens to be on the same side, so we are gonna get the work done at the same time and not worry about a 2nd report....i cant afford to pay 2 deductibles :( and as for how the intake got cracked, i have no clue. all i know is that its a chitty ford problem that they only had a recall on till early model 98's, and mine is a very late model 98. but its being replaced under the extended warranty that i bought just incase anything like this happens:nice:

Dude that sucks Dan, remind me never to park near you. You'd think once in two weeks is enough... At least the intake is being taken care of.

It must be a beast. It has done taken two hits on one side and kept on going.Till he just had to push the gas pedal to hard and it broke the intake.:D

Nothing like the old plastic 4.6 intake cracking and leaking coolant. It was on the crown vic cop cars that ford first discovered the problem. The intakes usually always crack right in back of the alternator or sometimes right near the rear heater core fitting. I've replaced over 30 of those intake manifolds. Wasn't till about a year ago that they finally wised up and started to replace them with aluminum front coolant runners, before then we kept replacing them with the same exact plastic intake manifold.

Yes, I have a new fender on there now! How do you people think ghost flames would look on there? I will get them done for free it's just a matter of weather or not I want them I guess you could say

Ghost flames would look pretty slick. You'll have to get them in an assortment of orange's and yellow's in either metallic or pearl...( unless you're going to change the color of the car..) and have it done by a guy who's done flame jobs before, cuz I've seen some pretty pathetic looking flames on cars. Heck, I'll even sketch ya up somethin' neat lookin'. :D

For $#!T's & giggles...

IMO, ( after trial and error ) a more stylized, spear-like flame effect would look best with the coupe's body lines. I did little mock-ups of normal looking flames, and none of them looked anywhere near good. When I did this one, it seemed to just fit.
Just a quick little thang, you'll have to disregard the little black outlines and the not-so-ghost look of the 2nd picture, but hey, I gave it a whack. First time trying that kind of effect.

The first one is how it would look normally...
