First I don't like risking my life on an UNSAFE track. Second, I don't have anything to gain by showing up a bunch wannabe's with my high mileage stock block 302.

Yes, 12's can be run with 278 RWHP, but it isn't going to happen in a full weight street driven 2001 GT. FWIW I ran 12.7 @106 with a 225 flywheel HP 302 that was totally stock from the intake manifold to the oil pan. But then it was properly prepared and only weighed 3100 pounds race ready.

seems funny i know a lot of cars that run at bithlo that will eat your car alive, and they run at bithlo with no problems, maybe its the driver? like i said two months i don't make huge paycheck at bcc being a teacher, im only 22 but i'll be ready though, and by the way im not like the big one i have a college education i just don't like my friends being ragged on, especially by a 50 year old man who knows better. im giving the option to apoligize about the commet you made to brian about being another nitrous victim or whatever you said, or you bring it and i promise you'll be made a fool of

Guys, we're all friends here (in a loose sorta way, at least). So let's try to get along. I want to hit page 300 with us all on good terms, not a flame fest.

Look, I'm not trying to stir anything up here, but Bithlo is unsafe. If you don't believe me just ask Steve Grebeck's widow. I guess he was a lousy driver too eh? Strange that his car went sideways at half track too. Wonder why FFW and NMRA will no longer have races at Bithlo? Because the track is unsafe! The Pro-5.0 cars didn't run at the last Bithlo FFW race because the first guy to qualify lost it at half track, surprise, surprise! It's not about HP, it's about a track that is unpredictable as far as traction at the 1/8 mile mark.
As for the comment I made about your friend's car "looks like the nitrous bottle claims another victim" was about NOS in general and wasn't meant to flame anyone. If you choose to take it wrong then that's your choice. When you have seen as many intakes blown off cars by NOS as I have, you might have the same perception.
As for your challenge to race my coupe with your Lightning, I am quite secure in my masculinity and don't have to outrun you to bolster my ego. But if you really, really want to race me you will have to travel to Moroso or Bradenton since I am not going to run my car at Bithlo. Funny how it seems to go straight as an arrow anywhere EXCEPT Bithlo.
There are probably black, white, and green cars that are faster than mine too, but ask me if I care. Considering that my car has over 105,000 miles on it and the only engine mods are Edelbrock Performer heads, intake and a Crower cam I am quite happy with how it runs.

what happened to steve grebeck isnt a concern here! i was there last year, and i wouldnt blame it on track prep....the head wind was insane and they shouldnt have been racing! i dont care if you running 9's or 17's any car can go sideways or loose control.....

funny thing is glenn, i have never heard about your coupe. until you lost control making that 11 second run. i tell you what, i'll race you in the lightning with nitrous, or i'll tow another mustang their and it really whomp your ass. i don't care how you meant on your comment about my friend brian, the problem was you hurt his feelings. You don't mess with one of my friends unless your looking for a fight. I have a great idea glenn, why don't you go to your dresser bust out a time ticket from morosso or bradenton, i don't care, scan it and put it on the forum.
