Melbourne area stangs

If anyone out there that has an 87-89 Coupe, and wants some rear interior quarter panels, I have a set thats taking up space in my apartment. They are already dyed black. I just got the correct 90-93 panels today. Let me know.

Hey Dave...have you yanked that 6AL box off yet man?? I'm about ready for the sucker... Got the Blaster TFI on of course...picking up some 8.5 superconductors today, along with the boot sleeves...and for ****s and giggles, I'm replacing both O2 sensors. Gotta love getting graduation money. :D :D :D The tranny....eh...I'll fix that later. When I have $2000 to spare instead of $1000. Or when my credit card FINALLY gets here. Teehee....

Yeah, we were counting on you to keep things straight around here. Where the hell you been?

I have just been busy at hell at work, then I have night classes that I go to. I had to read through like 5 pages of just bs, I don't want to get anything started again or someone will call me out with a car they don't even own that is faster than my convertible ;)
Anyways I value your opinion glenn, you actually know your stuff.

As far as that Geo...hey....it's got 80 cubic inches roughly and 72 horsepower...that equals 0.88 hp per cubic inch. That's a better ratio than I've got right now!
Yep, I know what you mean.....I have a turbo model(factory stock) of that car(older though 1987) with a 1.0L 3cyl with 70hp and 107lb/ft of torque:nonono: and weighs about 1620lbs......the pwr to weight ratio is good but it's still not that much fun to drive, especially on the interstate!!!!:notnice: it just sits in the yard now....That IS the car I got my most expensive ticket in......Trooper said he watched me accelerate from 89 to 93......cost me 180.00 :(

Now Kevin, of course you know that I put that link in here just especially for your eyes. Maybe you could send that guy some pictures and specs on your Geo so he could post them on his website. :nice:

I wonder what SCCA AutoX class a modified Geo would race in? It might be a fun car to build up don't you think? I know I would have fun making a Geo into a giant killer, take out a few Hondas along the way. :jester:

I hate Hondas...:barf:

Most of the info I have is from here

It would be fun, but too expensive for me to mess with. If the turbo were to go out, they only used that center on 9 different cars(IHI water cooled center)...Maserati BiTurbo being one of them....PM me if your interested in the car, needs work...plenty of it..... :D

I like the turbo hoods on those Suzukis. And hey...107 ft lbs of torque with only 70 hp? That's actually phenomenal for an engine that small. It's actually got MORE torque than ponies! Look at VTEC Hondas for example....eenie meenie miney let's say 180 hp...and what, like 125 ft lbs? At only 1620 lbs, with that kinda torque and how they gear those 3 cylinders, that thing must've had some serious get up and go off the line...or at least in first gear...I'm sure that torque isn't made til what, high 3000's, low 4000's?

Yeah it's pretty quick, torque steer was terrible, and you could do one hell of a one wheel peel:rlaugh:, 4.10 final drive and 12" wheels  As for the hood, mine just has a slot where the grille and hood meet with a silly arrow shaped sticker that says "INTERCOOLER" and a plastic cover on the intercooler to direct air across it.

Prolly could fool a few people with it, since it has a bowtie on the grille.

Well it finally happened. On the way home from school today on I4 I got rearended. It really doesnt look like theres much damage at all, but I'll find out tomorrow exactly how much happened. At least it wasnt my fault and the car behind me wasnt tall enough to miss the bumper. My car made it almost exactly 10 years without having a wreck, built June 23 1993.

:(

:uzi: people who cant drive.

Oh man that really sux. Let's hope there isn't any hidden chassis damage. Insurance companies like to write-off older cars that get hit citing the repair expense exceeds it's value. Hope it all checks out good man.

I thought that very same thing as I read his post but didn't want to respond, lest I start another flame session. Some of those guys get their panties in a wad all too easily.
