That's a nice little gain.
I don't think that I'll be building up the 6, tho.. I'm eventually going to put in a 5.0 after I get other things taken care of first.. like, better wheels, suspension stuff possibly.. a shifter, bla bla ..

Oh, and does anyone know of a good place to go for a good paint job that won't break the bank? Teal isn't my thing.

I would say Maaco, but......no. Take a look at my paint job if you want to know why I say that. Let me put it this way....the original paint is visible in some places underneath the Maaco paint. And the metalflake they sprayed......the geniuses forgot to cover my windshield when they applied it. I have a permanently metalflaked windshield.

Changing the color will break the bank. There is no cheap way unless you like to see teal everytime you open the hood, doors, and trunk.

Not necessarily, but the only cheap way I know of involves doing all the prep work yourself (stripping the interior, engine bay, etc) and taking the shell to the bodyshop. If you take the car to the shop as is, Josh is right. It'll be a horribly expensive affair.

Just for comparison, my Dad took his '58 to the bodyshop of a friend of the family's. No bodywork needed, just a prep and pain of the entire car, interior, exterior, engine bay etc. As is got an estimate of $3200 (and that was with the friend of the family discount). My dad and I stripped it, loaded the shell on the trailor and took it down there. Total cost: $450. It took a solid week of disassymbly and another week and a half to put it back together but it did save him a ton of cash.

You guys think I should get the Street Cruiser AOD from Lentech Automatics, or save up for the next step up, the Street Terminator AOD? The Terminator is $2000...the Cruiser is $1500. Or should I just forget Lentech and go with TCI or B&M.... Ahhhhh, I can't decide!!

Damn, dude.. $450 is nice for the entire car to get done but I'd have to strip the interior and take the motor out? Yikes..
Who knows, maybe I can do it when I put a new motor in it...

Looks pretty nice with the Cobra wheels and lowering springs.
Did you change the tint of the color in the pic also?

Actually, the pictures just came out that way.. I'm not complaining..looks more like Bright Atlantic Blue in the pics.. so I'm pleased. I also added those new smoked headlights and turn signals. I like 'em!

Watch out...nerds are crafty people. We might just, oh I don't know, replace the prom chip in your car one night when you're asleep....let's see....45 degrees of electronic advance.....an air:fuel ratio of 30:1......muahahaha...watch the fireworks.
