Yup, it is the biggest you've ever seen. And if you think these last few pages are talking about nothing, you should see the middle ones. The one's most of these guys don't even know about.

The Orlando Spinworld Disaster....

Well tonight I discovered two things. How truly ****ty a set of Sigma 245 50 16's are....and how truly ****ty Orlando Speedworld is. I only got in one run because they had the track shut down for an eternity. And when I did run.....whewee was it bad. I burned the timeslip and flicked them off. Lemme put it this way. I deflated my rear tires, ice-bagged my intake, left the back seats out, unloaded all the tools, and ran the car colder than normal... But this was my worst run ever. Worse than the run I made with the old sludged 302 with the bent connecting rod. Worse than the passenger drag I did with the new motor with the back seats in and loaded up with tools. The launch was so terrible that I didn't even try past that. I spun too long to pull any sort of decent ET, so I just tried to see if I could put the car into Overdrive at 1/2 throttle. I can't. AOD's SUCK.

Here's my one and only time..... 15.1 at 93 mph. 2.78 60'.

That was on a slow night, per person. By the time you responded to 1 post there were already 3 more up.

You're still about three times ahead of fourth place. Man those were fun. Up at 2 AM, posting on SN. Anyway, time to get ready for Christmas. Hey, anyone going to the Central Florida Auto Show? Dad and I are going tomorrow. It's always cool. I got Geena Lee Nolins (from Baywatch) autograph the first time I went. Oh and, they have cars, too.

Hey Dave, long time no post eh?

Do you still autocross? There is going to be a good one on the 17th of January in Gainesville. I drove that track in October and November and had a blast. You really ought to try and make it. I hope to have my newest car ready by then for the CP class.

I'm doing alright, have a cold though. But I'm enjoying time off, that's for sure.

Oh, I got wheel spacers put in a few days ago. Rear tires are flush now.

who's running the gainsville event on the 17th? CFR or martin? i'll be there. i need to order some new rubber by then.

Woah, what have you done to move into SM? My 95 Cobra is still sort of legal for ESP but I will most likely be driving a 95 GT in CP this year.

The Gainesville event will be a CFR west event. Martin is using a driving range in Tavares for most of their events now. The two weekends I drove at G'ville were Martin events, however. Very few cones and higher speeds made for a real fun event. I don't think the CFR event will be as wide open though.

There was a guy from the Jax area, Cary Quick, at the Martin event driving a 95 Camaro Z-28 convertible. He had no back seat and a roll bar, the car was very fast, rivaling the Corvette times on the fast course. You know this guy?

Anyway, I hope to see you there.

I know cary very well(he's real "quick"). I moved to SM for some car counts. In ESP theres only two cars every event. And SM is where all the cars are going. So i havent changed a thing on the car in two years, and my plain old 97gt beat 6 heavily moded WRXs and a wrx sti, and Christians honda. The SM times all year where what i was running, so i didnt have much to lose.

Wow, looks like this thread is starting to move again. I mean hey, three posts in one day, unheard of!

So Dan, how's it going? you gonna try and make some autocrosses this coming year?

I am nearing completion on the GT project so it will be ready soon. I've been selling off all my drag racing parts from the coupe and using the proceeds to buy some MM stuff for the GT. I still have to finish the TA setup and install the PHB. I have to find a 9/16" drill bit today to drill a couple of mounting holes for the TA.

If the days I'm not out of town coincide with an event, sure! Of course that only happened four times this year and two of those days the car was broke...

Sounds like the GT is coming along nicely. I saw the list of stuff that you got on that thread on cc.com and it looks like you're going to have a real runner! As far as the 9/16" bit, I'd let you borrow mine if it wasn't broke. I suspect though that BCC might have one you can borrow .

I wish I could. I'm being forced to go through some stupid leadership course. On top of taking me away from work for 6 weeks, it'll be taking up all my weekends with community service and the like. Crap pisses me off. Of course it's required if I want to get promoted...

On a completely different topic, I think the days of putting money into the Mustang are over. The stock parts will be going back in and the suspension goodies sold off along with the car. All of this will be paving the way for a healthy downpayment on a Snake... of the V10 variety. I've been wanting a Viper RT-10 for way too long and the 98-99's are right in my price range.

Granted, this is just an idea right know (baglock idea #362567 as Erich might say ) but it is gathering steam, especially since the wife approved it. I figure if I wait 2 years, the 01-02 will be ripe for the pickin' and I'll have 20K to throw at the down. Anyways, I'm still researching my options so don't even bother to make offers on the parts yet. It'll be awhile.
