Melbourne area stangs

No, no, no. Those were his names, his ideas. I was just bringing it up for humor value. Personally I think we should find our own idea. And I do believe that have the term domestic in the name would be slightly discriminatory to a certain few RX-7's (if they are even interested). Don't forget, that RX-7 last Sunday beat us all while being in the novice class and I'm pretty sure he'd school us in the 1/4 too. Slightly disheartening but true none the less.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm arguing with some idiots in the 5.0 Talk.

Hey wait one minute!!! You cannot compare an RX-7 (2,700 lbs) to a Mustang (3,700 lbs) I own both cars remember that. I love both of them too. Damn,...I just love cars...who else was drooling over some of those cars at the AutoX?? I was!! It was like going to a car show, but, the cars are actually driven!!! Like they are supposed to!!

I'm not too sure my RX-7 without NOS could beat a 99-02 Mustang.

BTW - YES!! I am interested in being part of your crew.

How about - Predator??

Oh- here is a pic of my Mustang that you never saw Sunday

He's right, he does own a mustang, too. So that can be worked in. If Xian was interested, though, we'd have to find some compromise. I guess we'll over time we'll figure something out.

jim those are some sweet looking wheels(i love the car too). and about the name...i kinda like predator! maybe something like Predator Racing! with that name any car would be welcome as long as the had a good attitude to go with the car(have to love all cars, with few exceptions like the toyota echo) what does everyone else think???

A 3700 lb Stang??? Gee, and I thought mine was fat  .

Anyways, I was comparing them as cars as a whole, not by themselves, and not on individual merits. That includes their weight. The fact that the mustang is a fat lady is not one of her more appealing factors.

Jim those are great autoX street tires, Xian runs those on his typr R with great success-his BIG beef with those is after about 6 months dont drive in the rain, he was going about 50MPH and was spinning in 5th(200hp integra). Those are the tire of choice for the sts class(stret tire class 4door).

BTW why only 225 section width. thats a little narrow for a 260hp rear drive car IMHO. 245 is a narrow as i can stand it. If you rims are only 16x7 i understand but if you have 17x8 you really need 245/45/17. great looking rims as well, thats always been a fav of mine.

My Mustang has 275/35/18 rear 235/40/18 front.

My RX-7 has 225/45/17 all the way around only so I can rotate tires.

I cannot go larger than 225/45/17 in front or they will rub in hard cornering. I do eventually want to run 255's in rear on the 7.

If the course is the same in Palm Bay I might run the Mustang.

Don't hold you're breath. The courses out there change every time and they're usually set up more for the FWDs and AWDs. At least the one's I've been out there for have. They're usually a bit tighter without too much of the high speed stuff.
