Melbourne area stangs

I would like to say thank you, to everyone responsible for keeping this thread, the coolest thread in all of stangnet, alive for so long. This is such a special moment for me (even though it's really White's thread)...

Congrats Erich! Now in a vain attempt to catch up and maybe make 1000 tonight  I'll shall respond to some posts... :D

A rare moment when both Baglock and myself are online at the same time, a rarity due to my policy which I call "I love sleep!"

BTW: Finally, after a week and a half delay, partshopper FINALLY shipped my Tri-Ax. :D

But Baglock, don't the 5.0s have like 285 TQ? I only have 302...

Yeah, rated at 285. If I had to make a prediction, I'd say I'd get you off the line due to the close tq numbers and my low weight. I'd hold it thru 2nd just because I can power shift a lot easier with the tri-ax. But as soon as you got to around 4K in 2nd, it'd be all over. :( In the words of Clint Black, "Now I'm walkin' in the moonlight, seein' nothin' but the tail-lights..." :p .

That's allright. Suspension will be done or at least close to being done by this time next year. After that, the headers are going on (the O/R X will be on the day after the last race in F Stock) and the heads, induction, and gears will somehow find their way into my grubby little hands. Somehow I still need to finance the T-56 swap I want to do...

Sleep is overrated. Besides I'll find plenty in the grave... BWAHAHAHA! *evil laugh reverberates through the room*

Sounds good about the tri-ax, I guess my prediction about the outcome of us racing might be a little skewed now. :( And don't feel bad, they took forever to ship mine too.

Thats the first concept drawing of an '04 Mustang that looks good enough for me to want to buy it. Very cool looking, just need to loose and make smaller those rims.

I agree about the looks, but not the rims. I don't like the style, but the size is juuussst right. ;)

Hopefully, they'll do the GT500 car like they're talking about. If they did it off of that platform, I'd be down at the blood bank selling plasma.

a guy offered to sell me a 5.0 out of a lincoln limo that has 7x,xxx miles on it. do you think this would be worth buying and doing a swap??? and how much do you think i should offer for it???

Considering you can get a 94-95 HO 5.0 complete from the top of the intake to the oilpan (minus accessories) for $650 from Mustang Parts Specialties, I wouldn't give any more than $250 for the lincoln motor. And don't quote me on this, but I think the lincoln 5.0's have more torque and less HP.

if i can wait long enough...i might just wait for the new design to come out but i doubt that i can wait that long! i think they should put silver or chrome TT2's on it! that would be sweet!!!!

Maybe a slightly different version, but still it's a good idea. No bigger than 18s, though, please. Tires are WAY too expensive for 17s already. Don't want to get an even bigger size. :(

i agree, 17's are perfect for the mustang!!!

For as long as they lower it from the factory to get rid of that huge gap.

BTW: Baglock, you're slowing down your posting, what gives? It's screwing up the pattern! Boss in your cubicle chewing you out or something?

Then don't look when I buy the 18" Y2K's for mine. I'm 95% sure I'm going with those for my street wheels. The Kumhos I'll be running (on the street) are only about $160 apiece for 275/35-18 :)
you wont get any guff from me...its not my car:D and actually i like those in 18's, they are just too damn expensive for me!

I am at work ya know... Sheesh  Oh wait, I work for the gov't. :D

18s are cool, I really have no problem with them, but any bigger (like in the concept drawing) get's a little ridiculous. So you're getting the Cobra R's, the standard after market rims for mustangs that everyone gets, huh? :D ;) :p
