Melbourne area stangs

Yeah I am getting pissed too!!! I am starting to have second thoughts about this club. They are looking for new directors. We should do it. I would set it up a lot like the Gulfcoast one.

There were a lot of people at Sebring from other clubs and they were amazed at how disorganized it was. The were some embarresing moments when so called people in charge were having screaming matches with each other in the staging area.

I was invited out to the Gulfcoast AutoX and was told it is night and day compared to the Local SCCA.

I am really interested in getting better not just flogging my car around on a Sunday. At least the Gulfcoast has a workshop. I am there in the fall. I am also going to Homestead in October and Sebring in December for road course instruction. Got lots of Months to save up $$ for it all.

If you hear anything on another Palm Bay event tell me.
Thanks

And I got all ya'll beat...I found my application for Discount from LAST YEAR(see Lazy Bum in dictionary). So Nah!

actually from what i hear, correct me if i'm wrong white, but you call a 1-800 number and you take a test and apply that way, and they find the best place to put you. I went in like a week ago to apply:nice:

I read on their website that you could also apply online...but since the one in "the hood" has "Now Hiring" written on their board outside I decided that'd be easier :)

no, no 800 number to call, you have to fill out an actual application!

Only 1 person made a big deal of passing 4K? Congrats y'all. I knew I'd miss it if I left. Anyway, so I guess we're meeting at McDonalds? Oh, wait, I'll go post that in the other thread. :jester:

Well I found Trick Pro today. Wasn't quite what I was expecting, though. I kind of expected a store, with a big garage out back to work on cars. But I was surprised to find that it was just a garage. Hmm...I didn't stop in, though. Had to go get a friend and couldn't stop. :( Some other time, though.

Oh, Baglock, I have a question for you. What class would catted H-pipes put me in? I was going to go o/r, but I found out that Kelly Ford refuses to work on Brian's car with his, so I was thinking of just going catted, but I don't want to move up into another class. Thanks.

The only exhaust mods legal in F Stock is anything to the rear of the cats (cat-backs), which is exactly why I haven't put the O/R-X on yet. However if you put in the H-pipe I'm not going to say anything and I doubt very seriously anyone else will either, especially since it's catted.

What a coincidence! I was down there today. The wife okayed the full road race cage and harnesses so long as I got the removable harness and diagonal bars  . I believe I'm going to go down there tomorrow and tell TJ to order 'em up. :nice:

Thanks Jim. The JAX guys turned me on to them but I'm waiting until next season when I go to ESP and have a few more mods (springs, PHB, etc.) before I hit the Chin circuit. :flag:

Very good to see the ol' man posting again. We thought you had broken your hip. :jester: J/K.

But seriously, so I could change out the mufflers, tips, what else? Does the pipe in-between the cats and muffler get changed, too? Cause I know the current size is 2.25 inches, but I want 2.5 inch exhaust when I upgrade. Would that be possible, or would I have to stick with 2.25?

It depends. What do you want to do? Do you want to do what you can and stay legal for FS, or do you want to do what you want and install the mods that no one is going to give a rat's @ss about in FS? Seriously, an aftermarket H-pipe is not legal in FS, but I guaruntee no one is going to care so long as it has cats. If it was an o/r pipe, it'd be different.

My opinion is do what you want. Get the 2.5" H pipe and don't look back. If you plan on doing the catback eventually and the FS rules are still ringing in your ears then get the catback first and then save for the H pipe when you eventually decide to go to ESP. BTW, in no way am I advocating cheating. This is merely an opinion of an @sshole :D .

On a side note, Stangnet finally did it to me. I broke down, pulled the com out of the closet and had the cable modem installed at home. :( I am such a wh0re to the pony life
