Sometimes you gotta be low key, especially when the car is mostly a promotion piece showing off your company can do the swap.

Well it now looks like I am going to have to push my installion date back again. Performance Automatic has the full manual valve body with trans brake on back order right now, so my trans can not get built as soon as I thought, I am now looking at about 2 weeks more till I get it. This will now push my installation to July 6, the same day of the midnight drags at speedworld. I will still be down there that night with the vert, but I will not be running the car without a dyno tune.

Well, just got back from Miami. Glad I'm not at the track, though. Looks like some bad weather out there. This doctor won't right off on the surgery, and just to keep with the retainer/splint that I'm wearing. So tomorrow I'm going out and looking at jobs. Finally.

So, is that a good thing? Did you want the surgery? Oh, and find a job for me while you're at it. ;)

Yeah, I wanted to surgery so I could get rid of this STUPID popping and pain in my jaw ASAP. I guess that's not going to happen, though. :(

well guys, weather around 436 was pretty nasty so i didnt even bother to drive all the way out there.

ran over some big metal somethin with a hole in it last night and had to drive home on my doughnut. finally mounted some nitto d/r's on there today for the track tonight and it rains.

then on the way home i noticed that if i upshift into 3rd (from 4th) it grinds like hell. only does it when im going over 10mph or so. anything under that and its just like its supposed to be. like if im sitting in neutral rolling at like 45mph...push in the clutch and try to goto 3rd it grinds just like the clutch isnt pushed in. also, theres no stop between neutral and 3rd...normally theres alittle resistance...now theres nothing...just slides right in and grinds. im guessing my 3rd gear synchro is shot.

anyone (baglock) know how much, and how hard it would be to rebuild a tremec 3550? and, if i cant...how much to have someone else do it? dont really have the money right now for a new tranny, so gotta deal with what i got. thanks for all the help guys, this has been the worst month of my life. :( :OT:

 :( :( The XM is broke! Arg! I'm mad, obviously. Had them look at it, and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. So I'm going to take it back to them later, and they are going to start switching out units. I might have to go through the hassal of switching base units, now, cause that's prolly what's broken. :( :(

well, amazingly...took the car out for a spin today and it was still doing the grinding. went and picked up my friend, and was on my way back and no matter what i did it wouldnt do it!! so hopefully it will stay this way till i get enough money saved up for the rebuild..cause now that its doing this kinda **** i know im goin to need it soon!

have you used the XM box yet, erich? if so, do you like it?

Maybe cause you spilled water all over it? :D Serves you right for street racing

I wasn't street racing! It was a spirited driving sesson. :D

They fixed it for free, though. I just have to call and go through the agitating process of switiching accounts and re-activating the thing. But it's fixed. It's in the trunk, now.

BTW: You get the pics?
