That's entirely possible. Could be something out there either with the track itself (sweating out the old oils) or the cleaning agent they use when somebody dumps some fluids. Maybe try asking some of the other guys who've run there and getting their experiences.

I was told by a few people that wensdays is the worse time to go there.They dont prepare the track untill friday and saturday.Its always slick midway and on down the track for the high HP cars.Last time I was there they gave out the warning to all the people with the big HP cars to watch it.

I'll be out of town this weekend. If weekdays are bad, I'll have to find someplace else. I don't like driving in the rain with those front tires and I want the new ones on for the autocross in 2 weeks.
