Josh, I didn't get in until late. Are you looking at May 3rd? I won't be able to make it. I will be in Cancun getting wasted:D

I am also thinking about getting a cam from SHM. I want to find out what cam Adam got.
Hehe,Have fun then.New cams huh?Well theres another 1000 pluse.:nice: Hopefuly Ill talk to Adam today and see what he says.I want to call them back and set it up today.

Well, last night after I got off work, Dave gives me a call from the track, said that Brian had let Adam take his car for a run with the Nitrous and aparently his intake cracked or something. Dan and I headed up there to lend a hand and TJ brought his trailer to bring Brian's car back. I felt bad for him, sucks that something went wrong when someone else was driving his car. TJ looked at it and they really didn't know if it was his intake that was the problem. Leaked coolant everywhere tho. Waiting for TJ to show up was fun tho.

Dave was telling everyone his Bunny-Cat theory again.
:rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh:

You guys haven't heard anything funny until you hear Dave tell you about the Bunny-Cats.

Looks like the nitrous bottle has claimed another victim, eh? :nice:

That's one of the main reasons I run NA. It's also a lot more fun beating blown or NOS cars when your NA. :D

As far as I know, and I may be wrong, but it's a problem with the 4.6 cars because of the plastic intake they have on there. I don't know much about nitrous, so.. I dunno.

For anyone who is in on the whole Bunny-Cat thing...here you go.
Was hard to get a decent pic.. they are so damn fast.

I don't plan on adding a power adder ( when I get my Mustang..) unless it's a supercharger or forced induction of some sort. Last night just made my decision more concrete. I'd like to build up the motor as much as I can to a certain point, then if it's not enough and I want a whole bunch more right away, then I'll put a hair dryer on it...a loud one.

I don't think Brian has a problem with TJ... Just because he goes to Gean's and wants to do the drag racing thing and not the autocross thing doesn't mean he is TJ's arch rival. Where did you hear this???

Wow, Brians car is down. :( That sucks. I do find it funny that TJ, as much as Brian dislikes him, went down there to get the car.

Why are you giving the thumbs up to someone who got claimed by the nitrous bottle??? S##t happens, I don't care if you are normally aspirated or not... Look at Dan Cassone... He is normally aspirated and the same thing happened to his intake... Yeah, the realibility factor goes down the tube when you are playing with a power adder, but that is racing...

Just he never has anything good to say about TJ, and for a while, tried hard to get me to have my work done by Gean. He left me with the impression that at least as far as his skill as a mechanic went, he didn't like TJ. Personally, if they like each other, I dunno.

I think Gene and TJ are both excellent mechanics... The reason I go to Gene's shop is because I'm more into the drag racing scene and I've known him for a long time... If I were into the autocross scene I would defenitely go to TJ's... Needless to say, they are cool guys and do awesome work... :nice:

Lets stay away from the Gene and TJ subject. That is not are concern. We dont need any more BS lies/rumors flying round. You go with who you think does good on YOUR car.Thats how you get the best performance. You get one machanic and stay with him(unless he really f***s it up).If you go jumping round you will get different opinions on what is fast which can lead to some major screw ups on the car. BTW the intake prob is on all pre 2002 4.6 cars.If it dosent have a metal water crossover it will eventualy crack.Im just waiting for mine to blow for it does get alot of stress at 6000 rpm.:nice:
But when it does go well here comes the bullit intake.O and Joe most likely I will be getting my tune on May 2 not the 3rd for they dont do dyno tunes on the weekends which I for one dont understand.

FYI on 4.6 intakes

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that my brother, who has a '97 GT, just had his intake crack a week ago. He bought it new at the end of '96, has 82K miles(!!), & Ford paid for it's replacement in full! Kelly Ford did the work as that is where he bought the car back in '96.
Just an FYI if you have a money crunch & won't be able to upgrade if/when your intake goes..
later!

Sean

Hydraulic jack

If anyone needs a new floor jack for putting their car up in the air, head down to Harbor Freight. They've got a nice 2 and 1/4 ton jack with a big 6" plate for 40 dollars!! I was amazed. I'll never go back to that compact jack.

Hey Glenn, I just swapped out my power steering rack and the steering feels a lot tighter and heavier, almost like your Cobra. The tolerances on those aftermarket racks must be all over the place. None of them have ever felt the same to me. I'm still trying to decide if I like how tough it is. We'll see at the next autocross.

Sounds good, hope it works out great at the AX. I'm going to be running a new set of springs at the next AX. I couldn't stand all the nose dive and bottoming out I was getting with my FMS springs, they just weren't stiff enough for this pig heavy Cobra.

I want to make the AX next week, but there is a major airshow at Patrick the same day! The Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds will be performing. Decisons...decisions...
