I just came over here from tech and I happened to notice the active user numbers.

I was kinda shocked to see 116 Total with the break down being 34 Members and 82 Guests.

Wonder where all these peeps come from
or
How do they find out about us

I got a buddy who surfs these forums, but for some reason he's too much of a Vagina MacGinavich to sign up and actually post. He's got a mustang too.

Thats funny

however

I lurked on all the boards for about a year before I made my first post.

I had been out of the hobby for a while and I had to figure out why:

the intakes were now two piece
where did the carb go
where did the points in the dizzy go
why did the Stang get a Chevy rear end
what are all those wires and that silver box in the kick panel

Yeah, I did my share of lurking on other sites, i.e. blueovalnews, ford truck world, corral. I did a little posting, but this is the first forum i've ever passed 100 posts on. I was starting my mustang project and I had questions that desparately needed answering, so I didn't lurk for too long here.

I did a little of that myself. In the same vein, I recently did it again to figure out WTF an electronic PCV valve was and how it worked.

I find that there are always a boatload of guests on here (in all the sub-forums). As mentioned, I'd guess there are a lot of lurkers. I used to do that on some forums but would end up logging in because it's no fun to not post.

Oh, all the lurkers came because they heard about some guy named Grady who is a real guru.

Should we tell them about the special gifts and prizes that you receive for simply signing up? Maybe that's the motivation that they need. Here lurker, lurker, lurker, lurker.

haha been there. I was a lurker for a good 8 months before the money came along and I bought the '94. Then a few months later, Aaron tracked me down in a parking lot and said "if you don't sign-up I will rape you and your dog" . Needless to say, I signed-up.

Since then I probably at least spend 1hr a day on here. More if I'm bored.

I guess I should have been a bit more specific and said those numbers were for the tech forum.

I've not looked at this forum to see the numbers I guess for the simple reason, I spend more time over there.

Then again

So much more tech can be found over here .....

I have found I'm over here more and more these days

I was so blown away when I saw there were over 3 times as many Lurkers as there were OFFICIAL MEMBERS

Don't forget, bots are usually counted as guests... and this place is pretty high on the search engines. ;-)
