Welp it better not rain, i want to make a few passes on that good rubber from this weekend..

:Word:

Not looking good as of right now. There is a 60% chance of T-Storms for Wed. Never know though.

Weather doesn't look like it's going to coperate so looks like we're going to sit this one out. :bang: Not to mention the air is pretty stickey.:notnice:

Doesn't look like rain right now on radar, but later on it's supposed to storm and I (nor Dale) feel like getting stuck on the road in drag tires. :owned:

Plenty of summer left, not to mention Ford Super fest is quickly approaching and so is Woodward.

However, Detroit Racing.net is renting the track at Milan this Friday afternoon from 12-4pm and last I saw there were still spots left.

There is always next Wednesday....

:nice:

I sat here yesterday afternoon looking at the sky and said to myself "WHY" ! :bang:

Friday test and tunes will work out better for me. I work midnights and start work at 10:30 so Wednesday nights don't work. There is still Ford Super Fest http://milandragway.com/2006/Results/Ford.html and there are plenty of King of Street! American -vs.- Domestic Fridays left this year.:nice:

Yes. I'm leaving my house at 10. Driving to Dales house then taking the back way into Milan. Gates open at 11:30 for tech then racing starts at noon.

Don't laugh.:nono: If that's a Regal GS, they come with the same SC'd 3.8l engine as the Ponticac GTP's. Mid 14's from the factory are possible, and it's a 4 door with a trunk to boot. :stick:

Not bad. I've seen some respectable GTPs with that Heaton blower. Wouldn't the Buick be much heavier with all the living room comforts that the GTP doesn't have?

I'm guessing they're pretty close in weight. ???????

I used to get to beat on them all the time when I worked for the Buick Division through MSX International back in the mid 90's :D They'll leave 2 black marks 200'+ long from the front wheels with the traction control off from a dead stop. They had a Riveria with the same S/C'd 3.8l only it had an Intercooler on it and it made 315 hp :nice:

I never got to drive that one though. :bang:  :D  :rlaugh: :owned:

Regal's are lighter then the GTP's and faster.
My daily driver is a N/A 3.8 regal. I have some mods done to it and it keeps up with the stock GTP's.

I had a stock 98 GTP 2 door. 47,000 miles all stock. 14.25@99 2.2 60 ft time.

That is Mustang GT territory. I took two FOX bodies with that thing, obvisouly they were either stock or only lightly modified, but that car was fun. 26MPG on the highway, and good looks. I sold it to my friend who now has 90,000 on it. I changed the pulley for him and it is faster now, but he is not a track kind of guy, he loves messing with people on the street. The computer shut the car down at 128MPH.
