Mice in my car!!!

I found a nice lil' nest in the bed of my truck. What's strange is that the truck has a hard tonneau cover on it as well as a Bedrug bed liner. When the tailgate is up and the tonneau is closed the bed is pretty much water tight. But those little buggers built their nest using wall insulation from within the garage walls.

I tried using humane traps (they can get in but can't get out) and those must have just made them laugh. After trying and trying I just went out and bought glue traps. It only took a couple days and that lil' bastard was done for. Haven't had a repeat problem - guys his buddies spread the word.

Glue traps? Ooooo, thats mean, poor little mouse. Well, I guess it's better than being eaten by a cat.

easy, weld the doors shut and fill the car up with water like one of those old cartoons where they are trying to shove a hose in the gopher hole to flood him out. trust me it will work, dont listen to these rational ideas about "mouse traps" and "glue paper" THATS ****S SNAKE OIL!!!!

edit: i just had an epiphany. fill the car up with water then drop some pirhanas in that bitch

hmm if you relly get pissed you could toss a couple pounds of C4 in and run like hell. the bugger would never see that coming.

alternatively you could give in, put ears on the roof, whiskers on the fenders and call it the mousemobile.

had mice in mine when I got back from afghani-land... insurance has a rodent cluase! A-holes! Any way to prevent future excursions by the lil bastards, place the mouse trap TAPE (traps will not get them 100% of the time) around EACH wheel

Since i store my 5.0 for the winter every year, i have a lot of animal stories.

I once found a 2 foot snake in my hatch. How it got there i don't know but he was sleeping in my sunroof bag. I kept him as a pet for a few months.

The best was another winter. I fired up my 5.0 first time in 5-6 months around March. Well, my exhaust sounded funny and i noticed the amount of exhaust fumes from one pipe was less than the other. I gave it a few revs and little peices of hay and paper came out. A few more revs and i noticed a big wad came out. Just as i was looking up the tailpipe a mouse came running out of it and the tail nicked my nose as it plopped out and ran away. I jumped about 10 feet and hit my head on a shelf.

Ever since then i block my tailpipes and put sticky traps on the inside part of each rim.

We'll see who has been living in my car this winter in the spring.

I'm worried some animal will make a next under the hood and chew up some wiring. I haven't popped the hood on my 5.0 in 5 months...i should go check now.

Don't use freakin poison for them. The little b@stards can climb up into your walls (or worse the seat of your car) and die. Then as they start to decay you'll have the lovely smell of rotting mouse. Enjoy!

that smell wont last foever though....only a few months at most...

I vote for the glue traps. I had mice in my tool shed and I placed glue traps along the walls. I sprinkled a little crust from left over Popeyes chicken around the glue traps.

Within minutes I had 3 shivering mice on the glue traps. The cool part was they were unable to move and they screamed like the littel bitches they are. I placed them in a Plastic Wal-Mart bag and threw their asses in the garbage. I wish I had an albino boa to feed them to.
