Just got another pair of Fanblades (that makes 6 now) and a set of 265/40-18 MT ET Streets. Now I hope I can run consistent 12s at will! I will find out Saturday as the NVMC has its last Drag Day of '06 (four hour private rental) at Mason Dixon Dragway near Hagerstown, MD. The car is dirty as it hasn't been washed in nearly a week and I tinted the windows in Photoshop

If you look closely, you can see the J&M LCA relocation bracket hiding under there.

Looking forward to the results. FWIW, I stopped putting my matching wheels on the front. Changing my wheels is a PITA, and I didn't see any gains with the little bit of weight difference.

MT states 9.6" for tread, 10.6" for section width and 26.5" for height. Recommended wheel width is 9.0-10.0", but as you can see, they fit the 8.5' very well

I got them off of eBay. Really good price ($478/free shipping) and got here in 4 days (ordered late Friday night and had them Tuesday afternoon).

Well, after my first trip to the 1/4 mile with the new LCAs/relocation brackets and the MTs, I still could not drop that .110 to get my 12.999 I gave it thirteen tries and the best I could do was 13.022. I had two other runs in the 13.0s. I did record personal bests in 60', 330', 1/8 mile E.T., 1/8 mile MPH and 1/4 mile E.T. so it wasn't a total wash. I managed a best of a 1.901 60'. Not great, but I found out once I dropped the air pressure low enough (15 psi) to stop the tire spin, my car bogged off the line trying to overcome the new found traction. I now know I need a stall converter to help with that. Using the parking brake and the sticky tires I could get the revs up to 2500-2600 RPM before it wanted to start pushing forward. Sometime after the first of the year I plan on doing a cam swap, long tube headers, switching to a 90 mm MAF, Spydershaft and a 3000 RPM or slightly higher stall converter. Those mods hopefully will get my car to the mid to low 12s consistently. I had a blast all day long outside of not making it into the 12s!

Well, you hit your best at least. Everyone raves about 4.10's, and they're fun on the street. But I have 3.31's in my '07 and it's only 1 tenth slower in the 1/4 than my '05 with 4.10's. I mean, I have a few more mods in my '07, but not enough to really speak of. My MPH is higher with my '07 too.

I've actually heard that quite often and it has made me reconsider going to a steeper gear....especially now that I'm going S/C

Here are a few goodies from Saturday

Video courtesy of NVMC member bruthru2002
This was my third of thirteen passes that day and well before I got a good burnout and really heated up the MTs. You can't see the time on my side, but it was 13.320@103+. The red car has similar mods to mine PLUS cams and LTs and is a manual. He eventually got his setup dialed in and ran two 12.5s
