I am looking at getting an offroad H-Pipe and have a few questions, what exactly will i need, right now i am thinking all that i need is the H-pipe, the RH exhaust manifold Gasket and a pair of MIL eliminators is this correct? Also, what type of gains can i expect? I have a 96 GT.

you might also want to make sure you have all the right tools. Get a swivel joint and about a 12" extension to get to the passenger side manifold bolts. Also, make sure you unhook the battery or sparks might fly
-OH, BTW let the car and exhaust cool off before working or removing the stock pipe (*looks at small burn scar on forearm and reminisces about installing Bassani X-Pipe*)

make sure that it is legal to run where you are. for example, in CA, the only legal midpipe is an unmodified stock one.

Also replace the manifold studs.

Get Napa part number 600-1819 for the above mentioned studs, and also go to the ford dealership and buy a new passenger side manifold gasket. Also some PB Blaster helped my install tremendously.

Just so I've got this straight - I've just ordered a new midpipe...and I'm having the local muffler shop install it. But are you saying I also need to buy a pass side manifold gasket (and ONLY the pass side?) and also need to purchase manifold studs for BOTH sides...is this correct? Is this part number hold true for a GEN2 SN-95 (2002)? This would be a total of 4 studs then, right?
Sorry if these sound like stupid questions, but I'd rather be prepared than have to run around on a Saturday chasing down parts. (Especially if I have to go to the Ford parts counter...only open til 1pm on Sat!)
Thanks!!!
